So for us we try to sign off messages but we only do it during the middle of the day most of the time. If you ask who's fronting right when we wake up it's often blurred and we'll just say we don't know which is why we don't sign messages right when we wake up because fronts still foggy! A lot of alters that are about 10+ sign off messages pretty well during switches, some others like the littles won't mainly just because they don't see the point of it. And more at night we stop signing off messages just because and we'll only say who's fronting if you ask!
What if said alter doesn't want to sign off a message:
So say an alter doesn't want to sign messages off using their name for their own privacy or comfort, they'll either use an initial or do "-???".
New alters?:
New alters don't sign off their messages because 1. They probably don't have a name and 2. Look their first priority isn't gonna be signing off a damn message- /lhj (you are able to tell if someone's new I promise)
