"Mama!"

"Ka-chan!?"

"Tadaima." Hinata smiled and gave her children a hug after she fixed her boots on the genkan. She just came home from grocery shopping and a few stops back in town that day.

"What happened to your hair?" Boruto almost sounded incredulous as he and Hima curiously followed their mother back to the kitchen. "Did someone hurt you?"

The heiress laughed as she placed down the groceries at the countertop before kneeling down to match her children's heights. Boruto just turned five this year while little Himawari is three. The Uzumaki household had been chaotic since there are two kids growing up in it, but most of the time, it's an utterly happy place.

"Don't you guys like my new hair?" Hinata asked her children. "And no, Boruto. No one hurt me. I just thought that it's much easier to move around with less hair."

"I think mama's hair is pretty." Himawari grinned, earning a giggle from her mother.

"Thanks, Hima. I'm glad you like it."

Boruto sighed. "You're right, Hima. Ka-chan looks pretty with anything anyway." he beamed and gave his mom a thumbs up. "It looks good on you -ttebasa!"

Hinata laughed at that and gave both kids another hug before thanking them. "Now, let's cook a feast for Tou-chan, shall we?"

"Papa!" Himawari excitedly squealed. "He's coming home?"

The heiress nodded. "He is, Hima."

"Tou-chan always gets a feast after being away for so long." Boruto huffed even though his blue eyes were just as excited and happy as his sister's.

Hinata simply laughed and started to work while giving the simplest tasks to her little helpers. While she loved doing chores on a daily basis, it doesn't hurt to have two adorable kids messing around and keeping things lively for her. It was sort of their bonding time and Hinata treasures every moment each time.

With Naruto's schedule getting even more hectic lately because of his impending ascension to the Hokage title, Hinata was left to tend to the house and the kids like she promised. She said that will be her husband's support and no matter how little her role will be, it doesn't matter. As long as they'll all be fulfilling each other's dreams together.

Then the crazy inauguration day finally came a few months later. With the great hero of the war and newly proclaimed Lord Seventh missing his own historic day because of being knocked out by his daughter for the rest of the day.

Konohamaru laughed so hard while Kakashi and Shikamaru both shook their heads in disbelief upon hearing the news after the ceremony. Hinata had just helped her unconscious husband to rest on their room and saved Boruto just in time from Himawari's wrath a moment ago when the said visitors came to check on them.

The heiress apologized for the situation although she also found the scene quite amusing. Especially when her father and Hanabi found out about Himawari awakening her byakugan despite not being born with their clan's distinct eye color. Everyone was just as astounded to hear that a three-year-old without any tedious Hyuuga training knocked out the strongest shinobi -- and Kurama -- in one swift accident.
