Belly and Nelly were twins. They looked completly different and acted completly different to eachother.. Belly was more reserved and Nelly was more outgoing and carefree like Belly's friend Taylor. The two girls often spent lots of time together trying to convince Belly to be more confident in herself and to try new things but it never worked.

The girls both loved going to the Fisher's house in Cousins for summer. It's what everyone from both families looked forward to every year. Belly loved it because it meant she could see Conrad in his bathing suit every single day for two months straight. Nelly liked going for a different but very similar reason. Jeremiah.
