You know that feeling when everything just seems dull. You just wanna do nothing but cry in the rain pouring outside.
That's how Noor felt. She didn't want to go back to the village and celebrate. Celebrating was nothing she wanted to do right now. So she decided to walk into the trees to possibly see Nightflare before he took his last breath.
"I'm coming with you" Hiccup tells her, just as she just told him to go on and celebrate with the village.
"Hiccup you don't have to-"
"Noor times like this you can't be alone" He intertwines their hands together and smiles at her. She musters the best smile she could and nods. Before they went off, Hiccup made sure Toothless went to the village.
They walked in silence. Seeing her like this made his heartache and all he wanted to do was hold her till she was okay.
As they walked farther and closer to where Nightflare fell down. Precious was walking close ahead of them. She had her head low and walked with a limp. They tried making her go with Toothless to get patched up but she profusely refused and came with them.
"I feel so bad for her- she lost her babies that were going to just hatch in a couple days" Noor mutters and he nods, squeezing her hand softly knowing the pain she must be feeling too.
"A mother should never be separated from their eggs or else she'll go into a deep depression.... Was she and Nightflare close?" Noor nodded, feeling tears about to erupt through her eyes again.
"He was the only one she'd let near the eggs... And he'd always hang out with her for most of the days and stay in her hut when she'd get a small check ups..."
"Do you ever question the fact he might be the father of her eggs?" She lets out a dry heartfelt laugh, it makes his heart glow seeing her smile a bit.
"I wouldn't be surprised if I'm being honest, before we rescued her and her eggs, he'd disappear at random times, then coming back at night and when she came they acted like they've known each other for awhile-" A loud dragon roar was heard.
"That was Precious" They looked at each other alarmingly as they heard Precious's roar ahead of them.
They immediately sprinted, edging closer to where Nightflare fell. Once they approached Precious, she sat in a damaged clearing. Trees demolished and snapped in half.
Precious was looking around aimlessly, climbing up a tree to get a higher view.
