Chapter 19: I hate her

"Where are you?" I asked after Sana picked up her phone

It was raining heavily. I called her as soon as I got in the car. I was looking for Sana everywhere in their company and the company is somehow far from the parking lot.

"Why? I'm waiting for you in the field with the others," She answered

I mentally facepalmed myself. Jeongyeon asked me about racing today but I declined because I needed to pick Sana up. I didn't know that this woman would ditch me to go see the race

"Where are you? They're starting," Sana said but I just took a deep breath

"I'm in your company, Sana. I was planning to pick you up because I was the one who brought you here. I figured you need a ride home," I replied

Sana could not answer right away. So, I spoke once again.

"I'll follow you, guys there. Don't get wet in the rain. Stay somewhere with a roof," I said before ending the call and driving

It wasn't that long until I reached the place. Race girls with umbrellas quickly approached me as soon as I stepped out of my car.

"Hey, Tzu,"

"Where are my friends?" I asked because I did not want to get any more soaked because of the rain

"They're under the shed," One of them pointed so I thanked them before running to where they pointed

I bumped into Jihyo as I tried to fit myself under the shed.

"Tzuyu, what are you doing here? The race started already," Jihyo said

"I am not a participant of the race, Jihyo," I told her as I tried to dry myself with my bare hands. I saw Sana is stealing glances of me but yeah if she does not want our friends to know that we're okay. Then, I won't let them know.

"Here's a pack of tissue," Nayeon said and she handed me the pack of tissue that she got from her bag. I smiled sweetly at her before accepting it

"Thanks, Bunny," I said

The race was going well. They need to do 50 laps because it is a race track. It would've been more exciting if it was on the streets but we have images to protect so we do not want to risk that.

"How are they doing?" I asked as I tried to look for Dahyun and Jeongyeon's cars

"They're on the lead," Jihyo answered with a smile on her face

"They should be. They shouldn't be called my friends if they won't be," I smirked

"Stop being such an ass, Tzuyu," Jihyo chuckled

I gazed at Sana and I saw that she was focused on the race. Why though? She has no interest in this because she thinks that it's too basic. According to her, the fastest one wins, and nothing else happens after that.

The race ended and Dahyun won first, and Jeongyeon won second. Dahyun spread her hands like a winner when she saw us under the shed.

"That was just by a split second!" Jeongyeon complained

"Girls, come on. Let's meet them by the restaurant," I said. So, we went

Jihyo and Nayeon immediately hugged the two to congratulate them. I was just admiring the two couples as I think of the possibility if I joined the race. Would Sana be congratulating me with a kiss? Or if I lost, would her hands be around me to comfort me?
