You stared up at the night sky with a small smile on your face.
Taking a deep breath you closed your e/c eyes. As you took in the peaceful atmosphere around you.
Hearing footsteps you grabbed your swords hilt out of instinct and turned.
Before you calmed down seeing your sons standing there rubbing the sleep out of their eyes.
Y/n: ah Muichiro, Yuichiro what you two doing up?
Muichiro: we couldn't sleep mamma
You frowned knowing the life of a demon slayer is never easy.
You are either up all night fighting demons or nightmares plague your mind.
Fiddling with your wedding ring you looked up and smiled gently at your boys.
Y/n: come here
They listened and sat on either side of you and nuzzled into your warmth.
Smiling softly you patted their heads and they closed there eyes in bliss.
Yuichiro: mamma?
Y/n: hmm? yes Yuichiro?
Yuichiro: will father be proud of us?
You looked up at the sky with a sad smile as that day flashed in your head.
Before hugging your children close to you and answered.
Y/n: he would be so proud "giggles" becoming a hashira at such a young age he would say your taking after me
They smiled and nuzzled further into your body. It didn't long as you soon heard there breathing even out.
You smiled sadly and kissed their foreheads.
Before looking back up at the moon as tears welled up in your eyes.
"He would be so proud indeed"
