Liv lay in her bed, the rising sun slowly creeping through her window. The events that happened last night played in her head on a constant loop. She couldn't get JJ's hurt expression after she said she didn't know how she felt out of her head.

They thing that was really scaring her though, was the thought of losing the Maybank boy because she was too chicken to admit how she felt about him. It's exactly why she didn't want to tell JJ in the past, because it would ruin their friendship, one that Liv cherished very much.

But as she lay in her bed, her thoughts swirling with regret, she couldn't help but also feel kinda glad. She didn't even know if she was ready for a relationship after how badly things ended with Rafe.

Liv was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard a knock at her door "Liv? You up?" JJ's voice bombed loudly in the quiet house

"Uh, yeah" she answered

"Um... I was gonna meet up with Kie and Pope at Haywards" he informed her "Do you want come with?"

"Yeah, just give me like 10 minutes to get ready" she said

"Okay" she heard his footstep go farther away from the door, she let go of a breath she didn't know she was holding in

She got ready, and mentally prepared herself for facing her blonde friend after last night. Things were gonna be different, she knew that, she only really realised when JJ knocked on her door instead of just barging in like he normally would

She walked out of her room and into the kitchen to see JJ patiently waiting, she sent him an awkward smile, one that he returned and walked to the fridge to get a bottle of water

"Are you ready?" he asked, now avoiding eye contact with her, making her heart ache in her chest

"Uh, yeah" she sighed

"Lets go" he walked out the door, Liv following as he said "I'm driving"

Liv frowned at the fact that they didn't have their usual flirty banter, she expected it but she still didn't like it

JJ just wanted to go back in time, to somehow undo what he did the previous night, but another part of him didn't. A part of JJ didn't regret what he did, that part was glad that Liv finally knew how he felt about her, even if she didn't feel the same. Either way, he hated the fact that it was awkward with them now.

When they arrived at Haywards, they both immediately got out of the car and went straight to their friends, JJ to Pope, Liv to Kie

"I need to talk to you" Liv told her friend "I really messed up"

"What did you do?" Liv glanced back at the blonde and then looked back and Kiara and shook her head

"Not here, lets go outside"

Confused, Kiara followed her best friend out side, so that they were standing un against the Twinkie "Okay so, what happened?" Kie asked

"JJ told me he loved me and then he kissed me" Kie's eyes widened

"What?! Oh my God, that is-" she stopped once she remembered Liv saying that she had messed up "-wait, how is that a bad thing?"

"It isn't" Liv quickly shook her head "It was great, amazing really"

Kie furrowed her brows "So then what's the problem?"

Liv sighed "He asked if I felt the same way and... I said I didn't know"

"Why would you do that?" Kie basically shouted

"I don't know. I panicked" The Routledge girl exclaimed "I messed up so bad and I lost my chance with him"
