Noé walked down the street in Paris, looking for Vanitas. 'Where did he go? Don't tell me he's with Jeanne again...' thought Noé, feeling a hint of jealousy and worry. "I can't believe he went off without even leaving a note on my bed," grumbled the vampire, looking around in worry. "I hope he's alright..."

Worrying, Noé accidentally bumped into a tall lady, who fell onto the floor with a loud thump. Some people stared at the vampire with intense eyes, obviously blaming Noé for hurting the poor lady. The vampire regretted not paying attention to his surroundings, as he repeatedly apologized and held out his hand to the lady on the floor. The lady slapped his hand away in disgust, and stood up, glaring at Noé. "Ugh! How absolutely disrespectful of you to bump into ME of all people, didn't anyone ever tell you to have manners?! Just when I thought Paris was full of gentlemen..." growled the lady, wiping away the dust off her blue puffy dress. "Not only that, but you look horrendous, that white hair of yours makes you look no less than an old man." And off the lady went, walking away, complaining to others how Noé bumped into her. The poor vampire got more dreadful and accusing stares, and he felt overwhelmed. Not only is he going to have to look for Vanitas, but people in Paris are also going to hate him for accidentally bumping into an old lady!

Noé decided to take a break searching for Vanitas, and walked over to a café. Luckily, no one gave him a single intense stare and he was able to order a Tarte Tatin peacefully. He wanted to see the lady he bumped into once again, to explain to her it was an accident. But at the same time, he didn't. He continued to feel guilty for the past few minutes, thinking of an apology for the lady. But Noé knew that the lady might as well have left Paris for his inappropriate behaviour. The vampire sighed, but smiled anyway, grateful for the Tarte Tatin. Waving goodbye to the one who made the Tarte Tatin, Noé left the café. 'Oh, it's only the afternoon. It feels as if it's night though,' thought Noé, looking around to look for Vanitas.

'Not only that, but you look horrendous, that white hair of yours makes you look no less than an old man.'

Noé flinched, hurt. The insult that lady said to him was sticking to him like glue, which made him feel even worse. 'Do I... really look that bad..?' The vampire touched his hair, and looked at the window in the building next to him. He looked fine in his opinion, but at the same time he can tell why the lady thought he looked like one of those elderly men he usually sees from time to time. His fingers combed his hair, suddenly becoming more self-conscious than usual. Noé shook his head, fully believing what the lady said. "She's right, I do look horrible..." mumbled Noé, his face morphing into sadness. He walked back to the hotel, and opened the front door. Amelia greeted him happily, but his only response was a small smile. Walking slowly up the stairs to his and Vanitas' room, negative thoughts about himself continued to swirl around his head like a carousel. Noé opened the door to the room, only to see the raven sitting on a bed, smirking playfully. "My my, Noé. You look quite tired. May I ask why you're exhausted?" grinned Vanitas, knowing the answer. Unfortunately, he didn't get the reply he wanted. All Noé did was widen his eyes in shock and walked back to his bed. Frowning, Vanitas tilted his head as the vampire covered his face with a pillow. "Geez, what's wrong with you today? I didn't know looking for me was that exhausting," muttered Vanitas, as he approached the sorry vampire. The raven sat on Noé's bed, beside the vampire. "I'm pretty sure something happened. Did I do something wrong?"

Noé shook his head, now revealing his face from the pillow. Vanitas' eyes widened a little, surprised that small tears were coming out of Noé's eyes. Sighing, the raven wiped the tears away gently, caressing the other's cheek a little. The vampire leaned in to Vanitas' touch, making the human blush a little. 'He's so adorable, damn it,' thought Vanitas, trying to resist the urge to shower Noé with kisses. "Vanitas..." Noé mumbled. "...do I look.. terrible?"

Suddenly, Vanitas' face was full of fury. "Who. Called. You. Ugly?" hissed the human, now wanting to punch whoever called his partner ugly. Noé chuckled, instead of telling Vanitas to not hurt anyone. "It's alright, Vanitas. They're going to be leaving Paris soon, mostly because of the fact that I accidentally bumped into them." Scoffing Vanitas looked away. "They're absolutely stupid for calling you ugly AND being mad about you bumping into them ACCIDENTALLY. Although, I am glad that person's leaving Paris," shrugged Vanitas, still outraged but calmed down a little. Vanitas pulled Noé into a hug, while sitting on the bed. "Whoever insults you doesn't know a thing about you AT ALL. They don't know how lucky they are to meet such a gentleman as you. You're so likeable, that even I don't hate you. And that shows a lot. Whoever says a negative comment about you, ignore them or call me over to give them something they will never forget. By the way, you're pretty handsome, not ugly at all," whispered Vanitas into Noé's ear, giving him kisses on the forehead in the process. "Thank you, Vanitas. I'm really grateful to have someone like you in my life," chuckled Noé, also giving the other kisses but on the cheeks. Blushing, Vanitas pulled away and huffed. "We don't ever talk about this, alright?"

The vampire shrugged, smiling happily. "It was so sweet of you though, Vanitas! I'm so happy you're here!" exclaimed Noé, pulling the flustered raven back into a hug. "LET GO OF ME!" shouted Vanitas, but didn't manage to escape the vampire's strong arms. "I love you," giggled Noé, giving the raven a quick peck on the lips.  "Tsk, I love you too and all, but let go of me, would you?" growled Vanitas, desperately wanting to be let go. Finally, Noé let go, letting the human breathe in relief. "Seriously though, Vanitas. Why did you leave me alone? I was looking all over Paris for you," frowned Noé.

"I wanted to know if you would look for me or not," shrugged Vanitas, smirking. Noé just frowned even more, obviously upset at Vanitas for tricking him. "You didn't have to do that to know if I'm worried about you or not! In the past missions we've done, there were times you were kidnapped and I was really worried! I thought it was already obvious I would be worried for you," mumbled the vampire, still frowning. Vanitas rolled his eyes and went to his own bed, collapsing on it with style. "I was bored," the human simply replied. That reply made Noé much more furious than he already was with Vanitas, but sighed instead to calm himself down. "Do you want to go for a walk?" suggested the vampire, looking out the window. It was still sunny, he can feel the warmth of the sun through the window. "Sure, I guess," hummed Vanitas, slowly getting up from his bed. Excited, Noé took the human's hand and ran out the door, dragging Vanitas along with him. Once they exited the hotel, Noé pulled Vanitas close to him and carried the poor raven in bridal style, which made Vanitas regret his life decisions. Vanitas continued to complain, while Noé ignored him and ran through the streets of Paris with the raven in his arms, making sure he doesn't bump into anyone again. Noé stopped in front of a restaurant and dropped Vanitas on the floor, making the poor human land on his butt. Groaning, Vanitas got up. "Noé... why the hell are we in front of a restaurant?" asked Vanitas, curiously. Noé leaned into Vanitas' ear and whispered,

"Let's go on a date."
