I get through the day just fine,
But it getting lonely at night.
Trying to sleep I lie on the bed.
Memories of you flash in my head.
Those late night talks come to mind.
Now it's nothing but a void I find.
I saw the clock, it's past two.
I closed my eyes, dreamt of you.
Teary eyes making a fuss.
Why is it only you and never us?
Still awake, I hear birds chirp.
Looked outside, the sun came up.
Time to wake up but I didn't sleep.
It's a cruse, the memories I got to keep.
