•{|Chapter Two: Comfort and Confrontation|}•

As the day went on, the Zebra Brothers scattered to the large fortress of they're master, HighRoller. Fear and terror still pulsed through they're veins as they rushed through the growing and constructive land HighRoller had ruled, once they made it inside they went straight to they're master who was busy munching on candy and having his animal servants treat him to more comic books and treats. "M-Master HighRoller! The r-rabbits got saved by-...b-by-" Sparky White spoke but was cut off by the already annoyed gremlin. "UGH! Can't you just SPIT IT OUT?!" he spoke in irritation as the two winced and shrunk from the wrath of the short man. Sparky Black then spoke up, "T-The Rabbit Kingdom was saved by Big Green!" That's when HighRoller snapped and hopped off his chair and threw the candy he was chewing on across the room. "WHAT?! How did you lose to them, AGAIN?! I put YOU in charge!!!" He asked with complete rage at the two, causing them to shake and whimper from his anger. "L-Lin Chung! It was LIN CHUNG!" Shouted Sparky White out of fear as Black trembled just as bad as him. HighRoller of course was even more furious yet puzzled. "HOW did you two lose to that stuck up illustrative BOY!? I made you more advanced with the control over the rabbits!!!" Asked HighRoller with confusion yet anger as his good eye twitched. "H-He wasn't playing this time Master! He was....was-" paused Black before White continued. "He was a MONSTER!!!" White Shouted as the two continued so whine and tremble with fear as they hugged each other tightly. The two looked terrified, shaken with all sorts of terror from the past jump scare they got from said warrior, HighRoller was of course still confused yet was too irritated to care and he snapped at them again. "Fine, since I have to do everything MYSELF, I will have you two handout candies to the Elephant Kingdom! Make sure the king gets his wishes...my candies are too delicious for even HIM to resist!" Said HighRoller with confidence as he laughed with a crooked smile, shoving the boxes of candies onto the brothers backs and sending them off. "And this time...DON'T be the two failures you are! You're lucky I still have use of you two..." said HighRoller with bitterness as he went back to his chair and opened a new comic book from his box of them. The two zebras nodded nervously and did as commanded, leaving they're master to his candies and comics. As HighRoller kept reading he began think a strange yet confusing thing. "What could've that stupid warrior done to scare my greatest henchmen??? Heh...still hilarious that one would be terrified in such a PATHETIC person! Hehehehe..." He thought as he chuckled to himself while continuing to read, unaware that the Zebra Brothers claim just might as well be true.

At Big Green, First Squad was sitting at the meeting room of the base, still chatting about what happened at Rabbit Kingdom. "Don't you still think it's strange that we heard that TERRIFYING screech from earlier? Like I can't be the only one who almost peed themself in the process of hearing that!" Said Mighty Ray as Sonia rolled her eyes yet agreed with him. "Yeah it WAS strange, yet Commander ApeTrully thought that it was just a trick Lin Chung used to scare away the Zebra Brothers away to help us get out of the castle..." said Mystique Sonia as Jumpy nodded also in a agreement. "Scary..." he said as he held his ears down with his paws around his face, looking a bit anxious from remembering the fiasco. "Exactly! It was scary...there's NO way Lin or any human could pull that off!" Sonia said with Yaksha nodding as he was being held in her arms. While the others chatted, Lin Chung was back in his room. Door shut and locked, only a pinch of sunlight beamed within the room from the window, and silence being the only sound inside. Lin was meditating on his bed, head down with his eyes closed shut and seeming to be his usual calm and quiet self. He did love the silence but he still wanted to be around his fellow teammates, being bitter and rather a bit annoyed around them must've caused his isolation to be worse. He never wanted to be so distant from his only family, yet still wanted to keep his secret being a bloodsucking parasite hidden from the eyes of humans as well as animals. "I miss being human..." he mumbled with a bit of sorrow in his voice as he stopped his meditation, just sitting on his bed in the shade from the sunlight in the room. "I want to go to them...but I can't being this horrific thing that eats the blood of the innocence...I haven't eaten anyone...but I'm too scared to end up doing so if I EVER let the urges of bloodlust swallow me completely!" He continued before covering his face with his cold hands, small sobs beginning to come into hearing as he shook in place. "Hey Lin??? Are you ok?? You haven't came out since we got back! Are you still sick! It's ok to come out if you want!" Said the voice of Sonia as she knocked on her leader's door. Lin then quickly looked up at the door with tears in his eyes, him trying to wipe them away. "Y-Yes...I'm fine! Just still not feeling too well Sonia..." he gloomily responded, hugging his knees and hiding his teary eyes in them. Sonia ignored him and simply opened the door, seeing him hugging his knees on the bed, supposedly crying. "Lin Chung..." she said with worry and calmness, seeing her leader in such a broken state was heartbreaking for the woman. Lin looked up with tears still in his eyes as he looked at her with shock and he scooted away as if scared of her. "M-Mystique Sonia! I said that I was fine! Please...j-just go away...." He said as he turned away and hugged himself back facing her. "I know Lin...but I don't know that what you are saying is true...cause you don't seem fine to me!" She responded as Yaksha looked sorry for the man. She then got onto the bed and tried to touch his shoulder and when she did, she felt the man flinch hard from the sudden contact. "His skin is cold as ice...he seems to pale and stiff! Poor thing..." She thought as she looked surprised yet saddened from touching him. Lin felt the small heat rise on his cheeks, then he realized that he was blushing, actually blushing from Sonia's act of kindness. He then looked back at her with leftover tears rolling down his cheeks. "S-Sonia...." He whispered as his face had the expression of shock and hurt on it, his hands once being on his face but are now wrapped around himself for comfort. "Listen Lin Chung...you seem scared and sick...it's unhealthy to keep isolating yourself from us. We know that whatever you might be going through isn't good...but that doesn't mean you should hide it from us...we understand and we love and care about you! Please give us a chance to figure out what's the matter..." Sonia spoke with kindness as she had an empathetic smile on her face, Yaksha nodding. Lin then smiled as more tears leaked down his cheeks, before Sonia could know it she felt two big strong arms wrap around her like snakes. Her cheeks grew bright with a shade of red as her eyes widened from the sudden action. Lin smiled weakly as he had Sonia in his arms, feeling the kindness and comfort he hasn't felt in days, weeks, and maybe a month. "Thank you, Sonia..." he whispered before she smiled and returned the hug, Yaksha felt jealous yet unbothered by the sign of affection they're owner was showing to her leader, knowing that he must've craved love and comfort for weeks now, they didn't feel that angry. "Anything to help, Lin Chung" replied Sonia as she purred into Lin's shoulder in the hug as he dug his face into hers. Suddenly he felt his cravings build up again inside, knowing exactly what this was, he tried his best to stop himself from sinking his now exposed fangs into Sonia's neck. "Blood...I-I must-....N-No...NO! STOP IT! R-RESIST LIN CHUNG!!! This isn't you! If anything I rather be burned by the sun's light than hurt my friend!!!" He screamed in his mind as he yanked his head away and quickly closed his mouth before Sonia could notice. "Wha- are you ok Lin Chung, you look scared..." said Sonia as she frowned worriedly at him. "I-I'm fine Sonia I-...I'm just...still a little under the weather." Lin said, quickly regretting his lying to her. "Oh! Well if you want to be left alone I could-" Sonia started but was stopped by Lin. "No! I mean...I like your company. I haven't seen outside of my room in a while...so I thank you for caring for me.." he softly said with a small smile, Sonia giving the smile back in response and sitting on the other side of the bed with Yaksha.

After an hour of the two friends reconnecting, Lin Chung has began to show his more social side once again with the human, happy to have her presence in his gloomy life. The two was drawing each other on two canvases that Lin had in case he'd run out. They was laughing and drawing silly versions of themselves, joking around and testing each other's progress on they're artistic skills. "Wow! you can draw really well Lin Chung!" Said Sonia as she looked at his canvas with amazement, Yaksha seeming to be happy and gently tapping at the picture of her on the paper. Lin's cheeks grew bright with a hue of red but he hid it as he looked to the side blinking. "T-Thank you...." He said simply as he went to hers and looked at her drawing, it was a sketch of him and her holding hands with hearts surrounding them. This made Lin blush even brighter, so bright that it was harder to hide it under his palish skin. "Awww, you're blushing!" Sonia pointed out as Lin quickly covered his face with his sleeve. "I-...ugh-...well..." he tried to explain but was too flustered to say anything. "It's ok Lin, I was blushing too...." Sonia responded with a shy smile as her own cheeks grew bright with red. Then before the two could speak again after the awkward silence, Mighty Ray and the others opened the door, Commander ApeTrully walking inside. "Why- OH! Lin Chun! You seem up and..." Started the commander, but was stunned by Lin's pale and almost dead state, Sonia cutting herself in at the commander. "What did we say about bursting into other people's ROOMS Mighty Ray?!" She asked with rage as Yaksha narrowed they're eyes at mostly Ray. "Oh PLEASE bun breath! Commander ApeTrully begged us to let him see how Lin Chung is doing! So we let him see him!" Ray snapped back right his fists on his hips, Sonia rolling her eyes in response. "He's just FINE! Sure he seems a bit sickly but I tried to make him feel better..." she spoke back looking to the side at the end. "Oh my...I don't think Lin Chung is just sick...it's something MUCH worse!" ApeTrully spoke with horror as he looked scared at Lin Chung who shuttered with extreme anxiety and fear. "NO! He must've began to figure me out! No no no! I can't tell them that I'm this THING! They can't know!" Lin thought in a panic as he froze up with fear, scared for them to find out what monster he's become. "W-What is it commander?" Asked Lin Chung as he broke a few drops of sweat due to nervousness, ApeTrully walked to Lin and gently pulled him out of the darkness within the room, everyone seeing his rather frail and pale state. "Oh JEEZ! Lin Chung you look...well-...DEAD!" Shouted Ray in shock and terror, Jumpy holding his ears as he winced from Ray's reaction. "Lin Chung more than sick!" He spoke in a worried tone as Lin Chung tensed and immediately snatched back his sleeve, backing from from the rest. "Uhm...n-no Jumpy I'm fine! Really...!" ApeTrully only shook his head. "No Lin Chung, you are more than sick PLEASE let us help you!- "He said as he tried to touch Lin again, only for him to snap back in a panicked rage. "I said I'm FINE!!!" Lin screamed before rushing past everyone out the room to the station of the meeting room, everyone chasing after. "Lin Chung WAIT!" Shouted Sonia as she tried to stop him. "P-Please Lin Chung let us help you!-" Added ApeTrully but quickly went silent as the others saw Lin go into his station and exit the meeting room and headed to the turtles. "LIN CHUNG!!!" They all shouted as they tried to go after him. Lin zoomed out of Big Green, his hat falling off of his head due to the strong winds that flew by and he zoomed to the bamboo forests where he usually meditated, him breathing fast and looking rather scared and guilty for leaving his crew. "I'm sorry but I CAN'T show it! Even if I have to lie to them for they're safety..." he whispered as tears filled his eyes as he continued through the forests, zooming into its depths.

"Lin! LIN!!! Lin Chung please let us help you!!!" Shouted Sonia with worry as Yaksha tried to comfort her, Jumpy whimpering as he held his ears again and covering his eyes. "J-Jumpy don't cry! He couldn't have gone far!" Shouted Mighty Ray as he tried to comfort the rabbit. "It'll be ok Jumpy...we'll find him! Promise...." Sonia said with sympathy and reassurance before hugging Jumpy tightly. "Oh no...this is most certainly NOT good." Added ApeTrully as he looked also worried for they're leader. "What are we gonna do?! He's probably gonna make himself worse this way!" Ray said as ApeTrully tried to think, "Hmmmm...maybe we can all make a search party for him! But for now...the moon is high tonight, it's too late to search now..." he said as he tried to calm the rest from they're worry.

"Oh Lin Chung..." Sonia thought as she frowned with sadness while looking at the forests outside of Big Green. "We'll get you back...no matter what." She continued within her mind before turning to go inside with Jumpy, the others following not too far behind.
