A Lasting Light

During a two world collision,
All the stars fell upon the surface.
I could've sworn some fell onto your cheeks, and a bit into those brown eyes.
Because when the corners of your lips reach their farthest height,
Stardust ignites.

Blinding and Catastrophic.

The world renews in vivid color,
The passion you hold within those hands, infectious.
If I could hold it tight, beside me on the cold earth, between the fingers

that have lost feeling.

It'd feel like it'd be alright.

It's a quaint but nice dream.

I'm just a little afraid

if that would dim your light.

This state of starstruck
From ways away.
Also feels like it'd be
Just, okay.
