Manik sat across the table glaring at the women he called his wife
“Nandini u could leave with a part of the Malhotra fortune”. Lawyer said for the 3rd tym. “Plz think about it”
She shook his head looking down. “I don't want anything”. She replied softly
“Are u sure?”. The old man insisted. “U're still young Nandini, u cou-”
“I don't want it”. She said quietly. “I just want to leave”. She said look at her fingers again feeling her husband's intense gaze on her
Lawyer slowly nodded & continue this went on for an hour, she made it clear that she didn't want anything why are they insisting?
When everything qas done she sigh in relief until he put the contract infront of her
“Now u just have to sign them”. He said giving her a pen
With shaking hands & tearing eyes she took the pen & move her gaze to the contract she look up at Manik only to find him look out at the window with his jaw & fists clenched
She held back her sob & signed them slowly
When she look back up, man was gone, she furrowed her eyebrows & before quickly stand up when she realise that she was alone with her now ex-husband
“Why aren't u taking anything?”. His deep voice stop her
“I don't want it”. She said quietly
“Why?”. He narrow his eyes moving his gaze to her. “If u don't take what I give, u're not getting anything from him”. He said bitterly
“I don't want anything”. She repeated. “We will be just fine”
He suddenly stood angrily walking to her
Her eyes widen at her mistake
“We?”. He snapped. “Becoz u're thinking of a life with him?”. He ask angrily grab her arm
She shook her head fighting back her tears
“If only u knew, if only u let me explain”. She thought as the sadness took over her heart again
“U will take the money I'm giving u”. He said in final
“No”. She said pull her arm out of his grip. “I said I'll be fine”
He look at her angrily as jealousy consumed him blindly
“I hope u don't regret this”. She said turn around
She pause when she felt a strong hand wrap around her arm stop her again, she slowly look back & stared into his eyes with the tears ones
He didn't want to let her go he just want to lock her up & keep her in the house
“& be sure that this isn't the last tym we see eachother”. He said coldly releasing her arm
She look at him one more tym before walk out of the office & out of his life
“For now”. He thought. “I'll come & get u when I forgive ur betrayal”
He fist his hands clenched his jaw he felt his anger take over his body once more & he close his eyes while taking deep breaths
He walk to his desk taking the divorce papers & glance down at them
He slowly walk to the fireplace while holding them tightly in his hands
