In a voice that echoed with suppressed rage and sorrow, he uttered, "You dare label me the monster, yet fail to acknowledge the darkness that festers within your own souls." Each word dripped with venomous contempt, his eyes ablaze with righteous fury, promising nothing but retribution.

"I'll embrace the role you gods so eagerly thrust upon me, but not for my own sake. No, it's for the sake of my feeble, pathetic kin," he declared, his voice tinged with a chilling resolve. "Now face your demise, you foolish gods."

"I made a vow long ago," his voice, once steely, now faltered with regret. "To shield you all, whether you accept it or not."

"How can you protect us, when you couldn't even save our sister?" cried a young voice, brimming with bitterness and anguish, its eyes twin pools of sorrowful rage.

"Perdita, I'll never allow anyone to tear apart what little family we have left," he replied, enfolding his weeping siblings in a tender embrace, their tears mingling with the grief of their loss.

"Forgive me, Duvessa," he murmured, his heart heavy with the weight of his failures.
