-Mr. Moon's perspective-

It was a normal night. I was sitting on top of a hill, petting a random cat. It was purring so loudly. This must be a human's cat. These creatures are weird, sounding like tiny motors.

I looked behind me, as I could sense somebody staring at me. There was a nice, young looking lady with a crossbow and arrows, looking right at me. I don't know who she is or where she came from, but my eyes widened as I saw her, so did hers. She dropped her crossbow and stepped back.

I stood up and looked upon her. She looked scared. Well, I understood that. Some kids look at me this way. I've never let a grown human look at me before though. I didn't hide myself this time. Instead, I walked up to her, trying not to frighten her even more.

"Wh-What are you? Y-You aren't even human.." She stumbled back. Her eyes looked straight into mine, above my shoulders. I sat down, looking at her and trying to show her I was peaceful. She got the message, actually. She looked at me.

"You won't hurt me..?" She loosened up a little, starting to steady her breathing. I might have put just a little "spell", if you will, on her to make me seem not so intimidating. Nothing big. I really didn't want her frightened, as I wasn't meaning any harm. I shook my head. I held my hand out, trying to get her to shake mine.

She took my hand hesitantly, shaking it. She didn't let go for a little, as we just looked at each other. I finally broke the weird vibe around us as I took my hand back. This was weird. I've always seen grown humans, but they just never make sense. I like to help children, usually. This was different.

We didn't say anything for a long time, as we just looked at each other for the longest time. I felt weird just sitting there, so I got up. The lady quickly got up, grabbing her crossbow and slowly stepping back into the woods as she watched me before running back to the direction she came from.

I sighed, cloaking my self from grown humans as I started to walk towards a small town. It was quiet, I heard nothing. It didn't seem like any children were up. I heard talking between two young children coming from a house up ahead, so I closed my eyes. I snapped as portal to the child's room opened beneath me, putting away my eyes.

I could still see the world around me in my head, though. No need for those eyes unless I want to see colors. I looked at the children as they stared me down. This was going to be a handful, hm? I took one step towards them, my shoes clicking against the wood floor as I did. The kids scooted back against the head of their bed. I couldn't help but think about that lady and the way she looked..

"Why are you here, Mr. Moon?" The child looked at me with confusion instead of fear. This was the same boy I visited last time, but he had a friend with him. I shrugged, looking down next to me at a little rubber ball. I picked it up and motioned to play catch with them. They both smiled, holding up their hands as we all passed it around the room. It was late, but this was better than sleeping, according to the boys.

I heard footsteps coming down the hall towards the room. I looked at the boys and put one finger up to my head. They nodded just as the parents stepped into the room. They turned on the light as I covered myself in my dark aura to keep light from hitting me and making me from partially going insane.

"What are you two boys doing up this late? It's time to get to bed!" The female human guardian looked at them with disappointment. The boys agreed, asking the parental female figure to turn off the light. She turned the light off and told them goodnight. I couldn't keep myself from thinking about the lady in the woods, and if she were a female guardian of any children. I zoned out as the boys tried getting my attention.

I looked over, my aura disappearing around me. The friend of the boy said, "I think we should get to bed, uhm- Mr. Moon. I don't want our mom to catch you. Right, Blake?" I nodded and so did Blake, was his name apparently. "Goodnight, Mr. Moon!" I waved and emerged my eyes, which spooked the friend a little. I couldn't help but giggle a little. Their eyes widened in surprise as I snapped and fell through my portal and back onto the streets.

The thought of the woman came back to me. Should I try to visit her again tomorrow night? I would hate for it to be a waste of time, especially since I have other kids to look after. I guess we'll have to wait and see...
