BEY POV

Today was Aaliyah's birthday and I was at the airport to pick Megan up. Aaliyah's going to be so happy to see Megan at her party.

Anything for one of my babies. I was going to pay their rent for the next year but I realized I already do that.

Freeloading little girls.

I felt someone grab my butt and I turned around ready to swing but I calmed down when I saw it was Megan.

I hugged her instead we rocked side to side. We've gotten a lot closer over the past couple years and I miss her even when we're apart for a short period of time.

"Hi baby."

"Hey, Meg. Let me take your bag." She wasn't staying for long so she only had a Coach duffel bag.

I took the bag from her. It was heavy, maybe I should've just let her carry it.

"You have the address to my hotel?"

"Yeah, come on." We walked to my car and I put her bag in the back.

"Are you hungry?" I asked after we left the airport, I sure was.

"I could eat. What do you have in mind?"

"I just had Popeyes with Blue and Aaliyah but I kind of want a chicken sandwich now. You want Popeyes?"

She nodded her head and leaned it on the window. "Just get me whatever you get, I'm tired." That's why our conversation is so dry, it's way too early.

"Okay, goodnight."

She mumbled 'goodnight' back and closed her eyes. I got us two chicken sandwich meals and I got Megan a cookie to be nice.

When we got to the hotel I slapped Megan's thigh and she jolted awake. "What the fuck?"

"We're here. Do you want sunglasses before we walk in?"

"I have my own, thanks though." She reached behind her and grabbed big black sunglasses.

I got out the car and opened the door to the back to get her bag. She came out of the car with her sunglasses on and I put mine on too.

We don't want anyone to notice her and say what hotel she's staying at on the internet.

We walked straight up to the hotel since I already had the key.

It was nice but it wasn't one of those hotel rooms that's basically a mini apartment. Like I said, she's not staying for long.

She jumped on the bed face first and let out a loud sigh. "I'm tired as fuck, I haven't gotten any good sleep in probably a month."

"Why not? You need your sleep."

"I don't have the time to. I feel like since I'm just now coming up, I can't turn down anything. I really want to make it even if it means I miss some sleep."

"I get that but you need to rest. If you don't do it, your body will force you to and it won't be pretty. It's okay to say no. You have what it takes, you don't have to kill yourself to make it anywhere because your talent will do it for you."

"Have you always been this good at giving advice?"

"I've gotten more mature with age." I really think this whole single thing is working for me, I'm growing as a person and trying to heal.

"It's really showing, you've really changed for the better. I remember your advice to me no matter the situation was to commit a felony."

I'm still like that, just more calm at the moment.
