A'Kees Love

Nah, i heard everything. She don't want nothing to do with me." I laughed.

"She ain't even know I was on the phone. I cried myself to sleep."

"That ain't nobody fault but your own. You had a good girl but you wanted to fuck around."

"Shut up, Tanisha." I said, pushing her legs off me

Kyla's at school right now.

"I'm just saying. If I would've known that you had a girlfriend, I would've never talked to you again." She put her legs back on me

"Oh look at the hoe having morals."

"Shut the fuck up A'Kees. You round here with your lip poked out feeling sorry for yourself."

"It's all about A'Kees. What about her?" Tanisha ranted.

"How was I supposed to know she was gonna go through my phone."

"Nîgga you shouldn't have been fucking on anybody else." She laughed.

"Man, I know." She started rubbing her stomach.

"Man, go cook me something." She sighed.

"I'm not your fucking butler." I scrunched my face up."

"Fuck you came over here for then?"

"To vent Nisha."

"To vent to the ho you cheated on your girlfriend with? Niggas ain't shit."

"I'm finna order me something to eat. Pitch in or get out." She got up.

"Guess i'm heading out then." I got up with her.

"Broke ass, calling you mister brokeasf."

"You're lame, i'm out." I said walking out and heading to my car.

My phone started ringing so I answered.

"Wassup Reem." It was my cousin.

"Wassup cheating ass nîgga."I sucked my teeth.

"Bra, how you know?" I crunk the car up.

"The streets talk. They saying it was with Nisha." He laughed

"Yeah." I sighed

"Tell the truth, you never really stopped fucking with her."

"I did though. You think you know everything Kareem."

"I know that you ain't never gon get her back. Sad ass."I sighed

"Whatever. She love me. She know wassup with us."

"Do she really thought? That girl probably ain't even thinking bout you."

"Tori just tryna make a nîgga think about what he done did."

"So like a timeout?"

"Man, you stupid as hell." He added.

"Yeah, whatever." I said hanging up, just as I pulled up to Kyla's school.

I waited until somebody brought her out.

"How was school Ma'Kyla?"

"It was okay." She answered lowly

"Why you being short with me Ky?"

"I don't know. I don't really like school anymore."

"Really, why not?"

"I'm not making any new friends. I always sit by myself."

"Do you ever try to talk to people?"

"No." She replied

"Well, you should start there."

"What if they're rude to to me?"

"I say fuck em Kyla. Not everybody has manners like you. Not everybody is gonna be nice and polite. If they get slick with you, you better tell them bout their self and keep it pushing."

"You know, I rocked alone for a while until I made friends in school. They are probably scared and nervous just like you."

"I guess you're right."

"I'm always right Ma'Kyla."

"I'm hungry. Can we go to granny's house."

"I can just cook some-"

"No, that's okay."

I laughed.

"Guess we're going to granny's house then."

I turned into my grandmas driveway and cut the car off. I noticed that they were more cars in the yard than usual, meaning my aunts and cousins were probably here.

"Ky, if you don't feel comfortable around anybody here, we can leave at any moment, okay? Just let me know."

"Okay."She said as I helped her out the car.

We walked to the door and knocked and waited for somebody to answer.

"Hey granny!" Ky hugged her.

"Hey my baby, you look so pretty." She moved to the side so Ky and I could walk in.

"Look at you. Cheating ass." Reem walked up to me.

"Shut up talking to me." I said, not looking at him.

"Wassup lil bit. What's your name?"

"Ma'Kyla, but my friends call me Kyla."

"Well, hey Kyla." He reached for a hug.

"I said my friends." She pulled back and went further into the house.

"She so rude." Reem said as we walked to the kitchen.

"She just don't like you."

"Where's my auntie?" I pushed him out my way

"What you getting her?" He asked.

"I'm about to get her some shoes she been wanting."

"Look at you, on your grown woman mommy shit." He laughed.

"I'm trying." I smiled.

"Whatever happened to that girl you was messing with?" I asked as I walked in the mall.

"She so bogus and trashy. You know why I stopped messing with her."

"Oh, I forgot all about that Kees situation." I turned into the Footlocker.

"Yeah, What you doing for the rest of the day?"

"Nothing really. Ima make some dinner for Ky cause I know her greedy ass gone be hungry."

"Let me come by and get a plate." He smiled

"Ian tripping. You know you can." I smiled back

"Ky, you did you homework?" I asked her as she walked in.

"Yes ma'am, cousin Reem helped me."

"Ok-"

"I checked over it just to be sure." Kees butted in.

who asked him to speak...

"I see three plates, you having somebody over?" I just looked at him.

"Business."

"Huh?" He looked confused.

"Get you some."
