Chapter 26

In the days that followed , we always hangout together . Gregory visit me everyday and sometimes , sinasama nya ako sa mga road trips nya o kya naman pumupunta kami sa favorite spot nya . Ganun din si Ethan , salit salitan lang sila .

This past days are so great . Palagi kong kasama sina Gregory , mula school hanggang uwian .

" Hey mary ! Buti naabutan kita " 

I instantly turned around as i heard Ethan's voice . He's panting and bids of sweat are forming on his forehead . Siguro kanina pa sya takbo ng takbo . Tinaasan ko sya ng kilay .

" Bakit? "

" Pumunta ako sa bahay nyo , but your mom said that you just got out " he breath deeply " Where are you heading anyway? "

I sighed " nag lalakad lakad lang ako , ikaw ?  "

Tumango sya at sumabay sa'kin . " Pumunta ako , para imbitahan ka sa party ko mamaya ."

Shit ! I forgot ! Birthday nya pala ngayon at wala man lang akong pinaghandaang regalo .

Natampal ko ang aking noo sa hiya at naupo sa bakanteng bench . I felt him beside me ,but i just can't look him in the eyes.

I heard him exhaled " it's okay , if you forgot . "

" I'm sorry Ethan , hindi ko sadyang makalimutan " binigyan ko sya ng puppy eyes , hoping na bilhin nya . " Babawi ako next time, promise "

He just chuckled " Ano kaba , okay nga lang. Mag attend ka nalang instead sa party ko mamaya " he flashes me his beautiful smile , that makes his dimples standout " . . . At Pussy n' Bar , 7pm "

My mind go blank upon hearing his sentence . My heart thumped loudly because of nervousness. A bar ? Sino bang matino ang umembento 'nun !

" B-bar ? " I uncomfortably moved on my seat and i think he noticed that .

" Come on , nasa legal age na tayo . Please mary ! " Pinagdikit  nya ang kanyang mga palad , pleading for me to say yes . " Pagbigyan mona ang birthday boy ."

I heaved a sigh " k-kasi —"

" Just consider this as your makeup plan"

Pumakawala ako ng malalim na hininga at umiwas ng tingin . I don't know if i can make it to his party . Mashadong mapanganib ang venue . Just imagine those drunk mens hovering around you , the prostitutes dancing on the pole . The Body odors and the smell of alcohol and cigarettes . Dangers are everywhere . And I can't stand a place like that . It's not my nature . I'm not a party girl , I'm not good in socializing . I don't know if i can last long on that kind of surrounding .

" Titignan ko " mahina kong tugon .

He clapped " okay , that's settled then . I'll send you the dress "

He winked at me but i just rolled my eyes .

Ang landi eh . . .

That night , i wore a white dress na pinadala kanina ni Ethan . Simple lang ito subalit elegante . It ends mid thigh and it's really nice. I put a light make up and let my curls flow on my back .

Mahabang convincing ang ginawa ko para lang mapapayag si mommy . And after an hour of explaining ay pumayag din sya . I told her that it's Ethan's birthday party at mga kaanak lang naman ang dadalo , kaya safe naman . And i also promised that I wouldn't drink alcohol .

I must not take a sip !!

" Mom , i have to go "

Pinasadahan Ako ng tingin ni mommy mula ulo hanggang paa . Nasa sala sya nakaupo habang nag babasa ng magazine . She nodded after a few seconds .

" Be careful, okay ? . Wag kang lalayo sa kaibigan mo " she kissed my cheeks .

I groaned " mom , malaki na ako . I can handle myself "

" Yeah ,i know . I'm just worried " she sighed at sinundan ako hanggang sa labas ng gate . " Come back before eleven "

I nodded " alright mom, bye ! "

I saw her waved at the rearview mirror ng nagsimula ng umandar ang sasakyan .

As i arrived at my destination , i saw different kind of people . May mga naninigarilyo, mga Nag PPDA , at marami pang iba . I scanned the crowd trying to find the three idiots and gladly i heard someone calling me from behind .

" Thankfully, you made it " ethan kissed my left cheek and gave a flower . " You really look good on that dress , mary ."

I'm shock at first the way he kissed me . Subalit inisip ko nalang na it's just a friendly gesture .

" Thank you ,and happy birthday " usal ko at binigay ang box ng chocolate cake " I'm sorry about my gift . Just like i said earlier , i forgot that it's your birthday today . Kaya hindi ako nakapag handa . "

He chuckled " Don't worry , ang importante nandito ka . This party needs you "

I frowned at his sentence , I don't know what he means.

" What do gou mean ? "

" Oh , it's nothing . " Maagap nyang tugon at sumimsim ng alak " do you want to sit ? "

I nodded and followed him . Naupo kami sa isang half circle couch , i saw sid at the corner with a girl sitting on his lap as they drunk each others life .

Ewww!

Siguro napansin ni Ethan and reaksyon ko dahil narinig ko syang tumawa sa gilid ko . Tinaasan ko sya ng kilay bilang tanong at tanging iling lang ang isinagot nya.

" Sid ,dude . Mamaya nayan , mahiya ka naman kay Jemary " natatawang sigaw nya kay Sid .

Agad namang itong napabaligwas at naitulak ang nakapulupot na babae sa kanyang leeg . Nahulog ito sa sahig at padabog na umalis without sparing us a glance .

I think she's embarrassed.

Sid on the other hand , uncomfortably waved at me .

" H-hi , little one "

I rolled my eyes and fold my arms on my Chest . " Don't 'little one me ' "

He shook his head as he laughed " do i looked hot ? "

" No one wants to watch your live porno's ,sid . " Saad ko at binuksan ang phone .

' aren't u coming? '

I tapped the send button at itinuon ulit anv atensyon kay Sid .

I'm wondering where's Gregory . Kanina kopa sya hinahanap pero 'di ko sya makita . Si Ethan naman ay busy makipag ngitian sa mga bisita nya .

" HAHAHA , I'm sorry 'bout that little one " saad ulit ni Sid .

I scoffed " whatever . — anyway , where's stone ? "

Nag kibit balikat sya " Hindi ko sigurado kung dadalo sya , baka mamaya nandito na'yun "

Tumango tango lang ako bilang sagot at kumuha ng isang baso ng juice . Tahimik kong pinagmasdan ang buong paligid . Maraming sumasayaw , na halos mag kiskisan na ng katawan sa sobrang dikit . Ang iba naman ay nag lalampungan sa kanya kanyang gilid at ang iba rin ay kumakain .

Napaka lakas ng tugtog at sabayan pa ng tawanan at sigaw ba iginagawad ng mga bisita . They're all enjoying the party . They're all like free souls .
