Class was boring as per usual, really the only thing that y/n had fun doing was training. Ever since y/n was young they were brilliant, school came easy to them. Thus, y/n didn't really pay much attention in class knowing that either way they would ace the class. Y/n leans on their desk with their face in their hand and their arm on the desk, next thing you know y/n is fast asleep-

The sound of crackling wood; the sound of sirens in the distance.
But all you could feel was the excruciating heat coming from the walls.
There in the middle of the floor sat two people, one cradling the other in their arms

"Please wake up y/n, please" says a sorrowful voice

The cradled person slowly starts to flicker their eyes open

"y/n? Oh thank god you're awake we have to leave, we can't stay here they'll find you" says the voice in a hasty tone

" Oh my look what we have here, you're still alive? You just keep coming back like cockroaches huh?" says another deep malicious voice

"Shit! You can't have them, they're my child" the female voice says

" does it look like i give a shit that they're your child, i couldn't care less- i'm just doing my job" the male voice says

The rest is a blur- a mixture of screaming and crying, the last thing you could feel was a surge of energy. This forceful energy seemed to swallow everything in its way, leaving nothing but ashes and reminisces of what was in its wake.

y/n wakes up sweating profusely, completely drenched from head to toe in sweat. Gasping for air, y/n's eyes start to slowly adjust to their surroundings. Y/n sees an empty classroom, guessing from the blazing fireball out in the sky- it's mid-day. Y/n checks their phone to see it's lunchtime. Y/n catches their breath and slowly comes down for the pure horror they felt just a moment ago.

What was that? I think it's the same dream but so much more vivid. fuck - im going crazy. I need to get some air.

y/n stands up from their desk and walks out of the classroom towards the front doors of the school, from what time it was- y/n had 20 more minutes before lunch ended and class started again. y/n used this time to sit down underneath a shady area. They closed their eyes and focused on their breathing

Inhale 1...5...8...10- hold 1...2...3- and exhale 1...5...8...10

A technique that Aizawa taught them to do when they felt like they weren't in control. Not long after 20 minutes passed and the bell rang telling the students that it was time to head back to class. y/n was mostly calm, their head was still jumbled with different things but at least you couldn't tell by their face. On the way to class y/n accidentally bumped into a certain spiky blonde Pomeranian.

Just my fucking luck to run into this asshole....

y/n didn't feel like arguing and dealing with the boy right now, y/n was exhausted. Although their facade was flawless and you couldn't see the despair behind their eyes, it still had its cracks which can only be seen by looking close.

Bakugou was always really good at noticing things, no matter how small. Thus, when he had the unfortunate luck of running into the person that shakes up his nerves in the worst way, rams into him on his way to class he couldn't help notice how their eyes look more inattentive. He couldn't help but wonder what happened, he knew something was up by the way y/n's feet moved at a slower pace than usual, the way they looked more ashen and sickly, the way their mouth was chapped and dry as if they never touched a drop of water in months. Seeing y/n in this state pulled at his heartstrings in a way he didn't know they could move, he quickly went back to himself, ignoring the spark that ignited in the pit of his stomach.

" watch where you're going damn extra" he spat out his works laced with venom

" whatever..." y/n answered defeated by this blonde boys energy at the moment

y/n walked away leaving the boy behind, he simply stared at her as an unfamiliar feeling grew within him.

AUTHORS NOTE:

Haven't looked at this in awhile and I'm sorry for that. I'll try to be more consistent with my uploadings but I am busy so don't expect too much :(( Today's chapter was more simple with a deeper glance at y/n' past and their interactions with Bakugou. Re-reading this, it feels rushed but I don't feel like fixing it now (hahaha). Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter -N3WBI3 OUT-
