"Dark Pit!" Pit called to his dark themed twin as he ran towards him. "Find anything?"
Dark Pit remained silent and merely pointed off in the distance. (Y/n) reached them just as he did this, which had both her and Pit squinting to see what Dark Pit was trying to show them.
"Oh, a cabin," (y/n) realized. "If it's out here in the middle of nowhere, and I have this location saved, then it must be safe."
"We don't have the time to be getting any rest," Pit said. "I'd love a nap right now, but I think we should only stay there long enough to form a plan. The sooner we get to Demetrius, the faster we can stop Lady Palutena." He began putting his past experiences into practice again, those of his time at war. It had been so long since he had to go day to day fighting for his life. Although it hadn't yet reached that point, he knew that things would eventually end up that way.
"I just need to know where we are. If we can just figure that out, then we can determine whether or not I need to snap another charm to get us as close to our destination as possible. I wasn't able to make any relocation charms that last time I was in Demetrius' domain. The closer we get, the less distance we have to walk."
"Walk? Can't you fly?" Dark Pit pointed out.
"Humans are not the same as they once were. If we were to just fly everywhere we wanted to, we'd be risking not only our lives, but also the lives of all other angels regardless of what side they fight for." (Y/n) frowned to herself, making Pit wonder what had happened to the world since he last visited. "The current weapons that they have are dangerous. Nothing like the past. If we aren't careful, there won't be anyone left to stop Palutena."
"Well, we can't just stand around and talk about it," Dark Pit huffed. "The sun's killing me. Let's go."
The trio began to make their way towards the cabin without another word. It didn't take them very long to reach it. One quick glance over let them know that it was worse for wear. Pit briefly wondered how long ago (y/n) had visited this place, but he didn't bother asking.
There was a small set of steps that led to the porch. Two chairs sat in the left corner, but neither of them were usable since they were missing legs and other parts. The door was already cracked open which put Pit on high guard. Even though Dark Pit had led them towards it, Pit quickly stepped ahead to get to the door first. He readied his bow, separating it into blades, before anyone questioned his actions.
Much to everyone's relief, no one was present. There were plenty of critters and bugs around, but Pit didn't think to count them. "All clear," he announced in a cheerful voice. He went straight to the table and found a stable seat among the four chairs scattered around it. (Y/n) followed his example and released a sigh of content.
"Finally, somewhere peaceful." Asclepius' snakes hissed in agreement. "Oh right, I'll need to tell you guys a few things before we leave again."
"Like about your divinity?" Dark Pit spoke up from where he leaned against a wall rather than sitting down. He met (y/n)'s shocked gaze with skepticism. "Don't look at me like that. You're the one who slipped up and said it," he scoffed.
"We don't have time to worry about that," Pit said. "I'm sure (y/n) has her reasons for not explaining. There are more important things to talk about like what kinds of enemies we might have to face when we reach Demetrius. I doubt Viridi would have a problem with us being in her domain, but I don't know anything about this Demetrius guy."
Dark Pit rolled his eyes at Pit, but didn't press the matter any further. Pit could see that (y/n) relaxed once the attention was no longer on her private matters.
"You're right," (y/n) began. "Viridi is too busy keeping her domain alive than trying to worry about who enters it. Demetrius is essentially an underling who took up part of Viridi's responsibilities. The humans have been making things hard for her lately."
"Something is telling me that Demetrius is going to be a bother," Dark Pit mumbled.
"Well, Eosu is always on the move, so finding her is more of a bother. That's why we're going to Demetrius since I know where he is. You are right though," (y/n) frowned to herself. "Convincing him to give up the rewind springs location will be tough."
"If we just tell him the world is at stake, then won't he just let us know?" Pit asked. Anyone would want to help save the world, right?
"Not exactly. If Palutena takes the world's light, it will mostly just harm the humans. She would have control over a vast majority of Skyworld and the ability to give light to whoever she pleases. Since Palutena and Viridi are on neutral terms, Viridi would likely just make a deal with Palutena so her domain will start to flourish again," (y/n) explained.
"That means Demetrius doesn't care about saving the world," Dark Pit clarified when Pit kept looking confused.
"Then I'll convince him. I have to," Pit immediately decided. "The world just can't lose its light." This was about more than just the world. Pit's former goddess had made this a personal matter. "Is there anything else we need to know about Demetrius?" He didn't take (y/n)'s grimace as a good sign.
"Well um...he really doesn't like violence."
Pit could have sworn he saw Dark Pit give a look of disappointment. "Why is that a bad thing?" Pit tilted his head in confusion.
"Demetrius is a hypocrite." (Y/n)'s blatant statement went right over Pit's head. "He doesn't like when violence is used against him, but doesn't hesitate to use violence as a means to get things done. In the best case, we beat him in a fair duel and call it a day."
"What kind of sense does that make??" Pit had met some strange entities throughout his years, but this was his first time coming across such a situation. "We're going to have to fight him for the information?"
"Doesn't sound so bad to me," Dark Pit said with a shrug. "All we have to do is win. What's he gonna do, throw some plants at us? Seems like an easy win since we have fire on our side."
(Y/n) promptly slapped her hand to her face. "It doesn't work like that," she muttered in annoyance. "He's going to choose who he wants to fight. We can only hope he decides to fight me rather than one of you two."
"I'm sure it'll be alright. We have a world to save. There isn't anything we can't do," Pit tried cheering her up. Seeing her crack a smile made him feel a sense of accomplishment.
"Well then, are you guys ready? I can go ahead and send us to the closest location. Once we start walking, it'll take a few hours for us to reach the place."
Pit gave a nod. "The sooner the better. We really need Asclepius' help." The snakes hanging from Dark Pit's neck sent a soft hiss akin to a laugh.
"Then let's go." They all gathered together to teleport to the closest place (y/n) could find in her collection of charms. Pit was still suffering from the slight motion sickness from the travel, but he was slowly getting used to it. When he was able to take notice of his new surroundings, he was surprised to find them at a riverside. The humidity had drastically increased. Various animals from birds to frogs could be heard all around them.
"You'll want to take a dip in the river before we go. This isn't going to be an easy trip," (y/n) said with a smile.
