Chase Davenport x reader(Lab Rats) -first day

Today was your first day at Mission Creek High. You just moved here and you were nervous about how your first day would go. You always had difficulty making friends and just hoped you'd make one.

Adjusting the book you were currently reading in your arms you walked into the school and looked around. You had to find the office to get your class schedule. As you walked forward you bumped into someone and dropped your book.

"Sorry!" You said, looking over at the person you bumped into as you crouched down to pick up your book.

"It's okay," the brown-haired boy said, smiling kindly at you.

"You must be new! Hi, I'm Bree," a brown-haired girl said pushing past the boy.

"Yeah it's my first day," you said. "I'm (y/n)."

"Oh, like that character from that show, or was it a movie," a taller boy said. He stood next to the first boy and a darker-skinned boy.

'Wow, very specific,' you thought sarcastically as you looked at him with a slightly confused expression.

"Just ignore my idiot brothers," the girl, Bree, said.

"Not all of us are idiots, Bree," the first boy said. He turned to you. "Hi, I'm Chase. This is Adam and Leo." He motioned to the taller boy than to the darker-skinned boy.

"It's nice to meet all of you," you said. "Can one of you maybe point me in the direction of the office? I need to pick up my class schedule."

"Yeah, it's right in there," Chase pointed to a door not far from you.

"Oh, thanks. Uh, see you guys," you said and started making your way over there as they all said bye.

You walked into class and looked around. You saw Chase sitting in a seat near the back. He looked up at you and waved you over, so you walked over.

"Hey, (y/n)," he said. "You can sit next to me." He gestured to an empty seat next to him.

"Oh, thanks," you said and sat down.

"So, um, how was your first class?" He asked awkwardly just trying to make conversation.

"It was okay I guess," you shrugged. "I'm pretty used to changing schools cause my family moves around a lot."

"Oh well, this is my first year going to a real school."

"Really? How come?"

"Adam, Bree, and I were homeschooled our whole lives. It wasn't until our stepbrother Leo came into our lives that we started here."

"Oh. I was homeschooled for a year while my family wasn't staying in one spot for an extended period of time."

The two of you talked for a while until the teacher started their lesson. During the class, you notice Chase answered as many questions as he could. He'd raise his hand for every question, but the teacher didn't always call on him. Eventually, the teacher's lesson was done and you were able to do your class work.

'Wow, he must be really smart,' you thought as you noticed Chase finished his class work in like less than 5 minutes.

It took you another 10-15 minutes to finish your work. You put it in your folder and pulled out your homework, which Chase already finished while you were doing your work. Not long later you finished it and put it away. There were still about 20 minutes left of class in which you and Chase ended up talking.

It was now lunch and you walked into the cafeteria holding your book in your arms. You looked around to find a spot to sit.

"(Y/n)!" You heard someone call your name. You looked over to see Bree waving you over to the table her, Adam, and Leo were sitting at. You walked over. "Sit with us," she said.

"Okay," you said, sitting in one of the empty seats. You pulled your home lunch out of your bag. It was (f/f). The four of you started talking as you started eating.

Chase soon came to the table with his lunch tray. "That line is too long sometimes," he muttered his complaint as he sat down in the last empty seat. He looked over at you and smiled. "Hi, (y/n)," he greeted.

"Hi, Chase," you replied.

It didn't take long for you and the Davenport's (including Leo) to get closer and become really good friends. You and Chase, though, became even closer. Both of you developed crushes on each other.

The two of you would act shy around each other. Neither of you wanted to ruin the friendship you had by confessing their feelings for the other.

Much to his dismay, Adam, Bree, and Leo kept teasing Chase about his crush on you after they found out.

You were hanging out with Bree in the Davenport living room. Or is it the livin-daven-room? Anyway, the two of you were just hanging out and talking when the topic got to boys.

"So is there anyone that you like, (y/n)?" Bree asked though she had a hunch.

You looked away from her trying to hide the blush creeping its way onto your face. "Psh, nooo," you said unconvincingly.

"Oh my god, you totally do!" Bree said. "Tell me! Tell me! Tell me!"

You looked around to make sure no one was around. "Fine," you sighed and leaned closer to her. "I might have a teeny tiny crush on... Chase."

"Like my brother Chase?" Bree clarified.

"What other Chase would I be talking about?"

"Oh, I'm just making sure," Bree said with a smile. The conversation soon went back to random things.

Little did you know that a certain bionic teen could hear your confession with his super hearing. Once the initial shock passed, he smiled happily and made his way to the living room.

Chase walked into the living room. "Hey, uh, Bree can I talk to (y/n) for a sec?" He asked.

"Sure," Bree said, getting up. She went up the stairs leaving you and Chase.

Chase turned to you. "Hey, (y/n)."

"Hi, Chase," you said, looking at him. "Whatcha uh wanna talk about?"

Chase made his way so he was sitting next to you on the couch, facing you. He cleared his throat before speaking. "I... I really like you, (y/n). Like more than just a friend. I've been too scared it would mess up our friendship if I told you but I just could wait any longer."

You blushed shyly at his confession as a happy smile made its way to your face. "R-really?" You asked.

"Uh, yeah," he said, shyly scratching the back of his neck.

You lend forward and leave a quick kiss on his cheek. "I like you, too, Chase," you said with a now brighter blush. Chase's face lit up and he pulled you into a warm hug.
