Water And Stone (Steven x Wallace)

-Steven's POV-

I was trying to study some rainbow moonstone I had found growing naturally in Granite Cave, when I suddenly heard a voice behind me.

"Were the champion duties boring you?" I rolled my eyes.

"Hello to you too Wallace" I heard him laugh and I turned around to look at him. "Don't you have a gym to take care of?"

"I'm taking a few days off actually, what about you what are you doing here?"

"I'm taking a few days off as well. I felt the need to come back here and take a look at this moonstone I found a few weeks ago, this kind of place isn't it's natural habitat."

"Well this kind of place isn't my natural habitat either yet you're not taking the time to study me." I rolled my eyes and turned back to the moonstone, taking my phone out to take pictures.

"I do, just when your not looking."

"W-Wait what?!"

"Careful, you'll wake the zubats."

"You're an asshole Steven."

"I know." I finished taking pictures and turned back around to him, walking towards him as well. "Come on, let's get you out of you're unnatural habitat." He laughed a little before following me out of the cave.

"So Wallace, what do you plan to do during your time off?"

"I have no idea honestly, would you like to spend it together?"

"Sure, I have nothing planned either." He looked at me shocked.

"Steven Stone choosing to hang out with me over spending all day with his rocks and stones in a cave?"

"Yeah yeah, feel honored." We both burst out laughing. "I'll come to your place tomorrow morning I guess?"

"That works for me! What time?"

"Can you handle 8:30?"

"Probably" He let out a small chuckle, which I couldn't help but find cute.

"Then I'll see you at 8:30"

"See you then!" We both went our separate ways for the rest of that day.

-The next day, 8:27, Wallace's POV-

I waited on my couch as I stared at the clock. Three minutes felt like three decades. Suddenly I heard a knock on my door. "Come in!" Steven opened the door and smiled at me as he stepped inside, closing the door behind him.

"Hey Wallace, sorry if I'm early"

"Don't be I was bored anyway" Steven laughed at my statement. Damn was his laugh adorable.

"So I take it you've been staring at the clock all morning?" He sat down next to me on the couch.

"Maybe I have been"

"Ok so you have been, it's cute how impatient you are." I felt my face heat up, and I saw Steven's turn red as well. "I-I'm sorry I-"

"It's cute how impulsive you can be." I saw Steven's face turn a deeper shade of crimson. "I have to confess something Steven...I have liked you for a very, very long time now, and even if you don't feel the same I-" I was cut off by a pair of warm lips being pushed against mine. I kissed him back and gently bit his bottom lip, asking for entrance. He pulled away from me and let out a small laugh. "I like you too Wallace, but have some patience, it's still early"

"Can you stay the night?"

"I don't see why not"
