Chapter: 24 "The tournament"

"Need not I remind you of all the bullshit Jeremiah put you through with last week." Taylor said to Belly as I was taking off my bracelets and necklace.

Taylor needed to get ready for the tournament so I went with them, I mean I'm not going to waste my time just being on my phone when I can be with Taylor and Bells.

"Yes yes I know." Belly said as she sighed my way. "I will just go with Cam." She said as she seemed kind of down and I wanted to cheer her up.

"You should take who you want to the ball but if Jeremiah ever pulls something like that again I will not hesitate to chop his di-" I got interrupted by a knock one the door and Laurel came inside the room. Let's hope that she didn't hear anything.

"Are you girls ready I'm going to take you over." Laurel said as she raised one eyebrow at me while grinning. Yeah she definitely heard that.

"Ooo can I drive?" Belly asked already being in a good mood. If belly is driving I'm definitely not going to go with them. I prefer staying alive a few more years.

Laurel gasped sarcastically the same as Belly did and answered her daughter. "No." She said with a grin across her lips. She turned around and walked out of the door passing Conrad her way.

"So like I said I think that you should take who ever you want but please think about what I said." I say smiling at Belly and right at the same time that I was finished with my sentence Conrad knocked on the side of the doorway.

"Hey." Conrad said towards us all as he leaned on the doorway. He smiled towards me and I saw that he had keys in his hand. Yay I'm not going to die because of Belly's driving.

"Are you ready?" He asked looking directly at me and I nodded my head in response.

"Yeah I just got to get my things." I say getting up from the chair that I was sitting on.

"Okay I will meet you out front." He said towards me as he said bye to the other two girls. He left and I was now picking up my things with a smile on my face. I have a good feeling about today.

"I literally can't believe that you guys are together." Taylor said as she clapped her hands in excitement. I rolled my eyes at her comment with a grin plastered across my face.

"Yeah me too, I mean I knew that there was something between you two but I didn't know that It would happen this summer." Belly told me with the same look as Taylor.

"Yeah I must admit that I was surprised too when it first happened but Steven broke me away from my thoughts because he walked in on us making out." I say as I laugh out loud to the memory.

"My brother walked in on you two?" Belly said as her jaw dropped open. I nodded my head in response which Taylor started laughing while Belly was too stunned to speak.

"I will see you guys at the tournament." I say waving towards them as I left the room. I walked downstairs and saw that Con was already in the car on his phone.

I got into the car and the sound of the car door opening made him look up from his phone. He turned off his phone as I sat down in the passenger seat beside him.

"Hey I'm sorry I took long I was talking with Bells and Taylor." I say looking at him as I put my things in the backseat.

"No it's okay." He said as he pulled me into a kiss. While his hands were on my face my hands were on his neck. We pulled away and he started driving. "Are you exited?" He asked as one of his hands was on the steering wheel and the other on my thigh. I was already used to it so it wasn't anything new but the first time that he did it I felt major butterflies.

"Yes but I'm also kind of scared I mean Bells and Taylor are really good." I say as I put my phone on my lap while I took his hand in mine.

"Yeah but like Shayla and Steven are good too." He said making my jaw drop. They were playing too. Okay well now we are fucked.

"I had no idea that they were playing." I say with my eyes wide. Yeah let's not talk about how Steven once slammed the volleyball ball into my head and I got a nosebleed.

I groaned and I think that Conrad remembered the story too and he started laughing as I hit his hand playfully.

I exited the car with my bag and my water bottle in my hands. I'm actually excited that I signed up for this tournament and I'm even more excited that I decided to sign Conrad up for it too.

We started walking towards the court and we were quite early because only a few people are here including Shayla and Steven.

"Well hello competition." I say to them as I put my hand up to my eyes to protect me from the sun. I put my hand up so that I would see them better and they seemed really happy I mean everyone is happy right now.

"Hey Athena." Shayla said to me as she hugged me. Shayla is one of my closest's friends but it kind of feels like we didn't hang out this summer at all. I will definitely make some plans for us to hang out together later.

Steven also pulled me into a hug while he just did some weird hand movement with Conrad. "Watch out for your head." Steven said as he and Shayla started walking away because she needed to fill up her water bottle.

I showed him the middle finger as he and Conrad just started laughing. It definitely was not funny my head was pounding for like 40 minutes straight.

Conrad and I started walking towards one of the benches because I was still holding my things and I wanted to put them down. He took my hand in his while we walked and I saw Laurel's car approaching. Belly and Taylor left the car in a hurry so that they could get the last second things done.

I put my things down on the bench and put on my white sport hat on. I pulled my ponytail through the opener in the hat and I was ready to go. Taylor and Belly approached us just as Conrad took my water bottle and took a sip.

"Hey girls." I say readjusting my hat so that I didn't have to worry about it while I played. They greeted me back just as Susannah started speaking on the microphone.

Mine and Conrad's first game went perfectly. It was us versus a girl and her brother and they were good but not great. It was really easy to beat them and we immediately went into the next round. We played for a few rounds before it was time to play against Shayla and Steven and now when I tell you I'm scared for my head, I mean that I'm SCARED for my head.

The first point went to them but it was fine we still had a lot of time to win. The game went on and our teams kept on scoring points and it was a really hard game making us tie at the end. Both do the teams had 24 points and I was panicking at this point.

The ball was passed to Conrad and he tossed it to me. I jumped as high as I could and spiked the ball to the best point.

Steven ran to get the ball trying to win a point for his team but he ended up getting the ball into his face. Oh my fucking God. The ball bounced off onto the court making us receive a point. Well Stevens sure as hell going to be mad at me but who cares. We are going into the finale. And never would I have thought that I would have to play against my two girl best friends.

A/N: Hiiii guys!!!!! I'm just going to make this clear, I cannot update every single day I'm so sorryyyyy 😭. Or I mean I could but it would take me some time and trust me when ever I find the time to write I do.
