Late night drive ✘ sam

"Darlin?" You heard sam call turning his head toward a you, you spaced out while the radio was playing. "Yea, sam?" You said turning your head towards his as well.

"Are you ok?"
He asked moving his hand from your knee to your shoulder. "What? Oh yeah I'm fine. Just.. just thinking I guess." You said smiling so he didn't worry about you.

"Bullshit. What's wrong?" He looked at you with a half smile

"I just- I'm- I'm scared." You mumbled you didn't like to admit things like that.

His eyes widened a bit.

"Why? What happened?, is it Quinn?" He asked worry vivid in his voice

"Uh, not Quinn, well yes quinn, he's awful, but that's not what I'm talking about.." you said kinda fiddling with your hands

"Then what?" He asked looking more scared

"I-," you sighed ", I only have a few decades with you and then I'll never see you again.." you said tears stinging the back of your eyes

A lump formed in sam's throat, his heart sank.

"Oh,Darlin.." he stroked under your eye a singular teardrop falling.

"Let's just hope it never comes to that..that's why we need to spend as much time together as possible.."

You half smiled looking back up at him

"I- I love you. Sam."

"I love you too, darlin.."

(A/n okay first chapter to a new book I know it's sad lemme alone but trust me it'll get better I have a feeling Eric is gonna turn darlin soon cos no way Eric would leave them to die and Sam in misery? Right?)
