You spurn my natural emotions
You make me feel like dirt and I'm hurt
And if I start a commotion
I run the risk of losing you and that's worse

Another day, another drama.
Despite Maeve having already told Chrissy that she wasn't interested in Andy Banks, the petite redhead was still pushing the subject with an out-of-character tenacity that Maeve fund particularly vexing. Chrissy had taken to mentioning it casually at first, dropping hints that Andy was still into her and wanted to take her out, however she had really stepped it up that week.
"But if it goes well, we could double date! You and Andy with Jason and I!" Chrissy had been walking with Maeve to lunch, however the blonde had increased her speed, so Chrissy was having to chase her.
"Well doesn't that sound dandy." She grunted, pausing briefly at the cafeteria doors, and making a beeline for the Hellfire table, hoping that Chrissy wouldn't dare follow her there. She plopped herself down right between Dustin and Fin, opposite Eddie - who looked at her in surprise. "What's up, guys?"
Eddie had been avoiding Maeve since she had given him a ride home, and she had no idea why. He had seemed annoyed with her, yet he had touched her cheek before he left...it had all been very weird.
Since then, he had been 'revising solo'. He had made up obvious excuses whenever she had approached him, and biology in particular had become painfully awkward between the two of them. Goldman didn't understand what was going on; Eddie had returned to his previous apathy and at one point their hands had accidentally touched, causing Maeve to squeak and Eddie to drop his pen. She had mumbled an excuse along the lines of 'electric shock', but she knew that wasn't true; there had been a spark of something, however it certainly hadn't been electricity.
There was an odd loneliness that had come with being avoided by Eddie, and Maeve didn't like it.
When she sat down opposite him that lunchtime, it was the closest they had come to making eye contact in a week. She made sure to stare right at him as she spoke, silently forcing him to say something.
"You lost, Princess?" He drawled at last, "You don't sit here."
She raised her eyebrows, "Oh, and here I was thinking I had an open invitation to join whenever I wanted, silly me."
"Of course you'd think that." He rolled his eyes are her and Maeve had an angry retort on the tip of her tongue - why was he being such a dick? "And the Queen's looking for you." He nodded to the side, and Maeve spied Chrissy walking over.
"For God's sake..." She groaned, placing her head on the table. "Dustin, hide me, quick."
"I think it's a little late..."
"You actually thought I wouldn't follow you here?" Chrissy folded her arms looking unimpressed.
Maeve sat up, "More hoped, really."
A tense staring match began between the two cheerleaders, and the rest of the boys watched on in an awkward silence. "Just come back to our normal table." Chrissy grumbled.
"Why, so you can keep badgering me about Andy Banks?" Maeve snorted.
"Ugh, why are you being so difficult about this! It's just one date, that's it, I'm sure you can find time in your busy, busy schedule."
