Whom Shall I Fear (Christian Poem)

The Lord is my Rock,
For He is always near,
Though I walk through the Valley of Death
Whom shall I fear?

Much wickedness surrounds me,
And I fall and cry out in despair,
But He is my sword and shield,
So whom shall I fear?

When justice turns to revenge,
And the cell of my heart I must repair,
I know I am not alone,
So whom shall I fear?

If shackles of slavery soon come upon me,
And the pain is too much for me to bare,
You will take the sting of the whip,
So whom shall I fear?

But if the giant scoffs at my size,
He will not see Your unwavering stare,
For You stand taller than he,
So whom shall I fear?

Until You come or call me home,
The love of Your heart I will share,
For You are the doting Father who heard every prayer,
So whom shall I fear?
