Chapter 4

I don't know why Clyde wants to meet me at this hour. Ang lamig na ng hangin kaya nakahoodie ako. Malapit na ako sa convenience store and I can saw Clyde sitting at the chair looking at his phone.

"Psst," Sabi ko at tumingin naman siya sakin. He's wearing a mask and he immediately hugged me.

"Missed you lods" He said.

"Weird mo naman lods" Sabi ko and chuckled.

Pumasok na kami sa loob ng store at bumili kami ng siopao at hot chocolate. Umupo kami malapit sa mga chichirya sa loob dahil malamig na sa labas.

"So, why gusto mo ako makita at this hour?" Tanong ko at kumagat sa siopao.

"Wala lang, miss kita eh" Sabi niya and smiled.

"Lods para kang broken" Sabi ko and laughed.

"Pero seryoso, I missed you alexander. And stressful din sa bahay so..." Sabi niya.

"Ah okay. It's nice to know na when magulo sa bahay niyo ay ako ang tinatawagan mo" Sabi ko and smiled.

"Hindi ah, wala lang talaga akong choice. Tulog na si Luke at Agust eh" He said and looked at me. I stopped eating and pretended na aalis ako.

"Uy joke lang lods," Sabi niya at tumawa. "Syempre ikaw gusto kong kasama kaya ikaw minessage ko" Sabi niya.

"edi okay!" Sabi ko and rolled my eyes. I went back to my seat and started to eat. After a few minutes, tapos na kaming kumain at nagkwentuhan kami after.

"Hala three o'clock na pala ng madaling araw" I said.

"We need to go home na?" He asked and pouted.

"Yeah, but we can stay here naman and talk pa." Sabi ko.

"Hmm no na, you look sleepy na oh," Sabi niya. "hatid na kita sa inyo lods, baka mapano ka pa sa daan" He continued and I felt butterflies at my stomach.

"Hmm okay" I said. We started walking and we didn't talk much along the way since I was so sleepy.

Nagising ako sa boses ni mama and narealize kong umaga na pala, I checked my alarm clock and saw na six o'clock na ng umaga. Nagmadali na ako dahil one hour na lang ay malalate ako for the second day. Bawas points ako nito kay Mrs. Agoncillo eh. Kiniss ko cheeks ni mama at lola bago umalis and started running. Buti na lang at sakto kong naabutan yung bus papuntang school, pwede kong sabihin na natraffic ako.

I was running through the staircase when I arrived sa school and buti na lang wala pa si Mrs. Agoncillo sa room. I saw Kale, Sergio and Shio looked at me while I was walking towards my chair. I also saw Clyde looking at me and mouthed the word 'good morning', i can't help but to smile.

"Himala first time mo ata malate" Sabi ni Shio.

"Buti na lang wala pa si maleficent, kung hindi minus points ka malala" Sabi ni Kale.

"Alex, kumain ka na ba ng breakfast? bilis mo ata tumakbo eh tsaka you look wasted" Sabi naman ni Sergio.

"Ahm, hindi na ako na kakain ng breakfast since nagmamadali ako" I said and saw Clyde looked at me.

"Let's hurry na lang papuntang canteen kapag nagbell, you need to eat sizzling" Sabi ni Kale. I nodded na lang and saktong pumasok si Ms. Agoncillo.

A few hours later, nag ring na yung bell and pumunta na kami sa canteen. Nakapila na ako while I saw Clyde signalled me to follow him sa rooftop, kaya naman sinabi ko na pupunta lang akong comfort room pero pumunta na ako sa rooftop. Pagka akyat ko, nakita ko si Clyde sitting sa floor with a mat. Nakalatag yung mat na parang picnic kaya naman umupo ako.

"Good morning," I greeted him.

"Good morning din," He said and smiled. "I bought some coffee and egg sandwich along the way pala, hati tayo lods" He said and gave me a coffee and an egg sandwich.

"I just wanted to say sorry sayo" He said at napakunot naman ang ulo ko.

"Huh? Why naman?" I asked while sipping my coffee.

"Muntikan ka na malate because of me. Napuyat ata kita kagabi sa convenience store." He said at tumingin sa akin.

"Clyde, you don't need to say sorry to me kung nalate ako or dumidistansya ka sakin." I said. "Listen, nalate ako dahil hindi ako nagising sa alarm kaya it's not your fault lods" I said and smiled at him. We're peacefully eating our food while looking at the flower garden na ginawa ng mom ni Clyde. They say na this was built for students to prevent and relieved stress sa school. Students can go here freely after school or even during break time para magrelax and enjoy na different kind and colors of flowers.

"Bilisan mo na dyan, malapit na matapos break time." Sabi ko. He nodded naman at binilisan ang pagkain. After niyang kumain, kinausap niya ako why siya lumayo sa akin kahapon nung nasa gate kami.

"I distanced myself sayo to protect you, Alex. You see, yung mga bodyguards na kasama namin kahapon was dad's people. Once na nakita nilang may kasama ako, they will report it to dad. And of course, si dad naman magsasagawa ng background check sa taong yun. If he knew na low profiles, he will punish them for sticking with me. Kaya walang tumatagal sa akin except Luke and Agust, I think that's also one of the reasons why people are so afraid of me." He explained. I hugged him to comfort him dahil his dad was a total jerk to do that. Kaya pala all the students here sa school ganon ang tingin kay Clyde, they think na he doesn't talk with low profiles dahil mataas ang tingin niya sa sarili niya. Well in fact, he is just proctecting them from his dad.

"Clyde, I'll promise you one thing hm? I promise not to leave your side even if madaming hahadlang. I'll be your light when it's dark, I'll protect you no matter what, kahit dad mo pa kakalabanin ko just to protect you." I said and he smiled.

"Para kang broken lods" He said and we both chuckled. Niligpit namin yung picnic mat at bumaba na sa classroom. Sabay kaming pumasok sa classroom waiting for our cirlce of friends show up. Sabay dumating ang professor namin at sila Kale.

"Kumain kana ba?" Tanong ni Kale. I nodded and started opening my book while listening to our assigned professor at that time.
