"Morning, Y/n/n." Jeremiah groans. "Morning." Y/n says into Jeremiah's chest as she wakes up. "IT'S Y/N'S DEBUTANTE SHOPPING DAY! Oh- Jeremiah um good morning." Susannah rushes through the door. "Mom. Hey. Ok, I'm gonna go get ready for um first day of work." Jeremiah stutters before racing out of bed and out of the room. Susannah raises her eyebrows. "Susannah." She groaned. 

"Let's go shopping!" Susannah and Y/n squeal in the kitchen. "But first, breakfast." Y/n giggles. "Are you girls going shopping for the deb stuff?" Laurel asks as Y/n grabs some toast. "Yeah." Susannah says. "Um Y/n would it be cool if I came?" Laurel asks. Everyone stops what they're doing and looks at Laurel in surprise. Y/n stop chewing for a second. "Mm no." She says. "I want to come. I'm your mother." Laurel says. "Never once in my life have you looked at me as a daughter. Don't bother starting now." Y/n scoffs. Laurel looks down.

𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩, 𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙠𝙞𝙙𝙨 𝙬𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥 -

"Laur. I need to talk to you." Susannah says. "Okay." Laurel says, sitting down. "I heard everything." Susannah sighs. "Okay?" Laurel says. "Okay? Okay?! You're a shit mom, Laur! I saw Y/n's wrists and thighs when we went swimming last year. Red slits all over them. This is your fault. You'v influenced Belly and Steven to ridicule and treat Y/n awfully. Steven's got some sense knocked into him but still. You need to change before Y/n does something completely horrible and stupid. You are ruining her life. She does not deserve this." Susannah says, rage and fury escaping her. 

"She does deserve this! She's the reason John and I aren't together!" Laurel fights back. "No, Laurel! You are the reason you and John aren't together! You! You cheated on him!" Susannah yells. Suddenly, she feels faint and falls onto the couch. "Beck." Laurel catches her. 

"I-I am more of a mother to her than you are..Fix it while you can..You wouldn't wanna miss her and Jeremiah's wedding." Susannah groans, still in Laurel's arms. Laurel smiles, softly. 

𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙛𝙖𝙨𝙩 -

"I'm really sorry Y/n." Laurel whispers. "If only sorry could fix years and years of torture and treating someone like shit. Susannah. Shopping. Now." Y/n says. "Bye guys. Jere, we'll pick out a matching tux for you." Susannah says. "It's gonna be pink!" Y/n teases. "Ha ha." Jeremiah says, sarcastically. 

Y/n and Susannah walk to leave the house. Conrad grabs Y/n's arm. "Don't let Laurel drive you crazy, Y/n." He whispers. "Thanks, Connie." She whispers back. She smiles and walks away.

Y/n and Susannah are shopping and shopping till they're dropping. They find the perfect outfits.
