SHE WORKS FOR MYCROFT BLOODY HOLMES

"Can't see how I can help you, gentlemen." Said Ewart. Athena looked at the name plate kept on his office desk. His office was well kept, but, by the tan lines on his wrist was enough to confirm Athena that he had been abroad recently. She looked at Sherlock, quizzically, wondering what was going on in his mind. Ewart looked at Athena and Soha. "And young ladies."

"Mr. Monkford hired the car from you yesterday." Sherlock stated, pacing up and down the office, glancing at Ewart and other objects in his office.

"Yeah, lovely motor." Ewart said. "Mazda Rx8. Wouldn't mind one of them myself!"

"Is that one?" Sherlock asked, pointing at a picture in the wall in random.

"No, they're all Jags." Ewart looked around to see the car Sherlock pointed. "I can see you are not a car man, eh?"

Ewart flashed a smile at Soha, then looked at Sherlock.

"But surely you can afford one. A Mazda, I mean." Sherlock said, walking towards Ewart's desk.

"Yeah that's a fair point." Ewart said, looking back at the Jags. "You know how it is. It's like working in a sweetshop. Once you start picking at the Licorice Allsorts, when does it all stop?"

"But, you didn't know Mr.Monkford." John said, who was keeping notes to help himself and Sherlock. Though he knew Sherlock never needed them.

"No, he was just a client." Ewart replied, quite confidently. "Came in here and hired one of my cars. Don't know what happened to him. Poor sod."

Soha suddenly did something not even Athena expected her to do. She walked to Ewart's desk, much to Sherlock's amusement and leaned towards him and smiled. Sherlock and Athena could never have guessed that Soha could be so serious about something like that and also, be observant as any Holmes.

"Nice holiday, Mr. Ewart?" She said softly. John looked at her appalled. Ewart was certainly not expecting this come back from the girl as he said, quite idiotically, "Eh?"

"You've been away, haven't you?"

"Oh the-the," Ewart stuttered, staring wide-eyed at the girl, "No, it's err. . . Sunbeds, yeah. Too busy to get away. Though we would like a bit of sun, my wife and I."

"Have you got any change for the cigarette machine?" Sherlock said, as he took out his wallet from his coat.

"What?" Ewart blinked.

"Well, I saw one on my way here and I haven't got any change." He handed Ewart a twenty pound note. "I'm gasping."

"Um, well. . ." Ewart said, quite terrified of the people who were around him. He opened his wallet and flipped through the Columbian- which was immediately noticed by Sherlock, Athena and Soha. "Hmm. . No. Sorry."
