Chapter 3: Powers

I couldn't believe it! It was the greatest day of my life! I first got immortality, which meant I could finally fly and go under water for as long as I pleased, and live forever. I also got to be a vampire forever. Things could not get better.

I went back to camp. Everyone and everything was gone. The cops must have been coming.

I saw Connor sniffing around, trying to find where they went. He finally picked up a scent, and we followed him. He ran fast, but I was a vampire and could run just as fast as he could. It felt like flying the speed I was going at. I never could run this fast, but now I could. I still couldn't get over this.

We finally caught up to the others. Connor shifted back into a human. I began to smell blood. My eyes were turning black. Nate grabbed me.

"Lets go hunting." he whispered to me and Connor. We followed him into the forest. I saw a deer. I sucked all of the blood out of it. Blood. It was so good. I wanted more.

Once my eyes were back to there normal color, Nate and Connor took me back to the others. They were so relieved to see us. I was getting hugs from everyone. They really were worried.

It finally became night. I had no idea how I would sleep, so I went over to Nate and asked him.

"Well, were vampires, we sleep upside-down. Just say were going on a long walk." That's exactly what we did. We said we were going on a long walk. We went a long way, until we found a good tree.

I was laying upside-down. Nate was right next to me. I slept until I saw the sun rise. I saw Nate was already awake.

"We should probably get back to camp, they might think we went on a long walk and decided we didn't want to come back. But before we go back, I want to show you something." We both jumped down from the trees. Then, Nate grabbed my arm and took me to a wide meadow.

"Jump off the ground as hard as you can." I did as he said. I was flying.

I was so happy. I had always wanted to fly since I was a little girl. The sensation was wonderful. I didn't want it to end. If I moved my arms up, I would go up. If I moved my arms down, I would go down. I loved being immortal.

We flew back to camp. Connor was the only one up.

"We should go hunting." Connor said to us. I noticed I was beginning to crave some blood. Hunting would be a good idea.

We were back in no time. My thirst was down, and now I was making breakfast. It helps to have vampire speed. I got breakfast done pretty fast.

Everyone started waking up. They were pleased to see breakfast was made.

"So how was your walk last night?" Kendall asked me and Nate. "I never saw you guys come back."

Nate luckily came up with an excuse. "We came back when it was Connor's shift. You must not have seen us."

"Where were you sleeping Nate?" Jessica asked. I was beginning to feel panick. They might find out.

"I was sleeping behind a tent. I was so tired that I didn't feel like going back to my regular place to sleep." Everyone fell for his lie.
