In the deep forest full of bamboo shoots, Xu Wenwu finds himself calmly making his way to the
entrance of Ta Lo. He brushes swiftly around the leaves and bushes surrounding his path,
almost like he has been there before. Wenwu reaches out to pull down the leaves, he walks
through the small crack in between the bamboo and sees a majestic waterfall, in front of it is a
small pond, the scent was fresh like a plum blossom. He walks closer to the waterfall and sees a
woman in a green silk charmeuse dress with a yellow sash, standing on a rock next to the
waterfall. She is wearing a detailed hat and a mask, preventing him from seeing what she really
looks like. The woman raises her head and stares at him with dull eyes. He steps closer to the
waterfall.
"Where is the entrance to Ta Lo?" Wenwu asks, walking closer and closer to the rocks.
"You're not welcome in our village" The woman snaps. Wenwu cracks a small smile and tilts
his head a bit.
"You don't know who you're talking to," He tells. The woman stares at him even harder, with
no expression.
"I don't care who you are," She says "Turn around now, and I won't have to hurt you."
Wenwu smirks at her bravery, almost admiring how foolish she is to challenge him.
"What is your name, woman?" He roars. The woman looked at him and straightened up her
back.
"Ying Li," She replies. "I don't care for your name"
Wenwu raises his arms and opens his hands, the ten rings on his arms begin to glow a blue-ish
purple, painting the veins in his arms the same color as them. The woman tilts her head in
amusement and glares at Wenwu judgementaly.
"Is that all?" She taunts.
"I've gone by many names over the centuries, Ying Li," Wenwu snarls. "But for you, my name is Xu Wenwu."
He straightens up his facial expression and punches the air, sending his rings flying at Ying Li. As
graceful as a leaf in the wind, she jumps out of the way just before the rings hit the rock behind
her. Wenwu retracts his rings and uses them to launch himself into the air, chasing Li onto a tree
and shooting his rings towards her. He misses and summons his rings back to his arms, staring
at Li with an angry expression. He lunges for her but she shifts herself away, using the air and
wind to guide her path. She spun around and removed her hat along with her mask, throwing it
towards Wenwu. Wenwu leans back a little and dodges the hat, he turns back to look at her face,
slightly smiling to see her. Li glares at him, circling her foot around her. The wind picks up,
leaves swirling around her, like they are listening to her commands. Wenwu jumps up and
attempts to pound Li with his arm, but she blocks his attack with one arm and grabs it. She
spins his arm around and his body has no choice but to follow her movements. She points his
arm into the forest and his rings launch into the bamboo. She releases him and he dips to the
ground, attempting to kick her down. Li jumps away and Wenwu grabs her with his rings,
pulling her towards his body. Li follows the movement of the rings, she looks into Wenwu's eyes
softly as she swifts away instead of near Wenwu. Wenwu smiles at her as she slides the rings off
her arm and back onto his arms. Li and Wenwu punch and move around with each other as if
they are dancing gracefully. Li grabs Wenwu's arm and pushes his back, she spins around.
Wenwu looks into Li's eyes lovingly, smiling at her. Li returns the gaze and cracks a small smile
at him, still spinning him around with her. She lets his arm go and Wenwu launches his arm at
her, missing her head by an inch or two. Spinning around, Li uses her arm and open hand and
uses the air around her to push Wenwu away. Wenwu runs towards her and grabs her arm,
spinning her into his arms as if dancing like the leaves. Li twists her arm and pushes his arm
away from her, kicking him in the stomach and sending him flying. Wenwu catches himself,
lifting himself off the ground. He smiles at her before punching out his arms and sending his
rings flying at Li. Li tilts her head to the left and dodges all ten of the rings. She does a flip in the
air and spins around to face where the rings had flown to. Wenwu summons them back, Li
dodges her head out of the way and sways her hands around in the air. The rings swirl around
her, the blue-purple color now a soft yellow-orange. She forces the rings into the form of a ball.
Wenwu is standing there with wide eyes, looking at the clump of energy. Li throws the ball at
Wenwu and the rings fly back onto his arms. Wenwu goes flying into the air and hits a tree. He
slides off the tree and is falling towards the ground, before he hits the ground Li launches a gust
of dust and wind towards him. The wind carries Wenwu into the small pond with a big splash.
Wenwu pushes himself up, gasping for air as he sits in the pond. He looks around and sees that
Ying Li isn't here anymore. He places his arm on his left knee and sighs in disappointment.
Wenwu looks up and smirks a bit at the scenery, all he's thinking about is Ying Li and how
beautiful she looked as she fought him with no fear whatsoever.
