"I'm 100% sure. It's a party for tiktokers."
"Whatever. What do you want me to wear?"
"Wear the white dress with the fishnets."
"You know Ace hates that one."
"Exactly. He thinks he's so fucking cool."
"I need to break up with him."
"Yeah you do. You should do it over Karaoke."
"Maybe I will publicly out him?"
"Fuck yeah! Let's go!"

Abbie and I walk into the party. The people singing terribly, the new boy toys around. The perfect setting.
"I'm going to find my date."
"I'm going to sign up for karaoke."
I begin walking over to the stand when I get stopped by Ace.
"Hey babe. Why are you wearing THAT dress?"
"Because I like it. By the way, I have a song for you!"
"Really? You better sing it."
"I will. Don't worry."
I walk up to the stand. "76B please."
"Alright. Next up we have Tate Spade!"
Abbie stands up with some guy and comes toward the front.
The music begins to start.

Abbie gets excited when she realizes the song.
" You take all your issues, blame em' on everyone else. I bet that if you could you'd go on a date with yourself. Oh you think that your so fucking cool. Got a new girl and some new tattoos. Yeah way too fucking cool. But all your best friends really hate you too. "
Ace turns to the guys in the corner of the room and none of them make eye contact with him.
" Every time I hear your name, why's it make sick? Ooh it's driving me insane that I'm not over it. I can't seem to get away from you. I would say Hi, but your way too fucking cool."
All of a sudden, I make eye contact with the guy Abbie is with. He's cute.
I finish and walk over to Ace.
"It's over, if you didn't catch on."
"No. You can't break up with me-"
"Why can't I? I just did."
I walk over to Abbie and she hugs me.
"Nice job up there."
"Thanks."
"Tate, This is my boyfriend Bryce!"
"Boyfriend?"
"Boyfriend?"
"Well yeah! It's obvious your into me so let's make it official!"
"Oh- okay."
I'm not sure why, but Abbie being with Bryce bothered me. Every time I looked at him I had butterflies. What is happening to me?
