"What are you doing, Yashiro? Hurry up and say "No."
"Huh?"

No one's POV

"Say "sorry." "

"Huh? But-"

"HURRY UP!"

"S-SORRY!" Yashiro shouted

Then of nowhere, they heard a voice.

"Well now, we can't have that! If someone confesses their love to you, the proper thing to do is accept!" Then a face starts to come out from the tree
(But what if you don't like the person? Would you still accept it?)

Hanako stands putting his hands in front of Yashiro protectively.
"Get back." He said.
"W-what?"
"Love is what leads people to happiness! It would be preposterous to refuse it! I shall assist you to find happiness!"

Yashiro looks at the tree confused and kinda scared because the tree just randomly does a pose

"Wh-what is it? It's creepy!"

The tree got mad and throw his hands at Yashiro.
"How rude!"

Yashiro screamed and the tree's hand got stopped by a shield.

"What?" Yashiro's cheek glowed a word "seven"
"This is.... a protective charm!" The tree exclaimed.

"There you are, kodama." Hanako said holding a knife and pointing it towards the tree while holding Yashiro close.

"Thank goodness I have an assistant, since you're an apparition who only appears to couples."
"Kinda sad though, it should've been Y/N but I guess it's better this way...I should finish this off quickly before Minamoto do something unforgivable." Hanako thought as his face darkened.

"Huh? What?" Yashiro said flustered.

"A school wonder! I have done nothing to be ashamed of! I merely worked to make every one happy!" The tree said as he attacked Hanako.

"That's called... being a busybody!" Hanako said as he slashed the tree into half.

Hanako and Yashiro looks at the ground and the tree's small form

"Compact"

"What a disgrace." The tree saud with tears in his eyes.
"I worked so hard to save up that power from the students rumors."

"Cheering on love is one thing, but you over did it."

"Umm, Hanako-kun What is this?" Yashiro asked

"A kodama." He replied
"As you can see, he's a tree apparition. He's the reason for the recent unnatural increase of couples here."

"Oh."

"Also, would you even believe that Y/n would date Minamoto? Hmp! I mean, isn't this reason is why you agreed to help me out?" He said looking at Yashiro.

"Oh, Yeah! That's right!"
"I'd been thinking it was weird!"
"Oh, so that's what this was about. I just got the wrong idea and worked myself up, and besides i think he likes Y/n. Oh well, Hanako-kun was never my type, anyway."

She began picking her bag on the ground.

"What should the new rumor be?" Hanako asked while writing on a notebook.
"We have to decide on one for the Misaki stairs, too." He waited for Yashiro's response but got nothing.

"Yashiro?"
He stands up
"Yashiro? Oh, i know. You're disappointed it wasn't a real confession, aren't you?" He said, teasing but then he stopped his action and looked shocked at Yashiro's face. She was crying.

"Hanako-kun... you jerk!" As she headbutted Hanako then she continues to cry. Hanako looks at Yashiro while rubbing this head.

"Hey Yashiro?!"
"I'm so embarrassed. I feel so stupid. Why did you kiss me on the cheek the other day, anyway?" She asked crying

"W-well, you were tired out, so i put a charm on you so that apparitions wouldn't attack you for a while." He said kinda panicked

"Talked about misleading!" She slapped Hanako
"I'm sorry!"
"I'm leaving." She said walking away.

"Wait! Umm..." he grabbed Yashiro's hand.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you cry." (Liar! Look what you have done jk)
He said while looking away
He felt guilty

With his hat off, Hanako-kun looked like a normal boy for the first time. That was made me realize. I called him my friend, but never tried to get to know him. Not about the crime he committed, or why he died, or his real name

Hanako hugged Yashiro
"Stay here until you stop crying "

Today's, this moment, for the first time, i felt like i wanted to know about him.

Meanwhile Y/n and Teru walking

"Ayo?! What the hell????!! Why you holding my hand?!"

"I don't know!" He shouted blushing like a mess

"Quick! Give me a hand sanitizer!"

"Why? My hand aren't dirty."

"I know." She looked at him

"I don't remember anything about what happened earlier. Did we even go to school?"

"Me neither. I don't even know how we end up here. Like whattttt??? Anyways I'm going home. Cya."

"Y/n, wait. I have something to tell you ."

"What is it?"

"I- uh.. never mind. It's nothing. It's stupid. I was just going to ask a stupid question."

"okay? All right. See in school Teru." She said waving at him

"Yeah.. see you tomorrow."
