"not gon lie to yall, ima check on my bae mora cuz i havent heard from her all week so catch yall later" i said getting up

"bae" they all said dramaticly

"yea but no, she mine but she dont know it yet" i said shrugging

"unt unt stop being delusional and dragging my bestie into it" siah said and i sucked my teeth

"i am but like something about her- man ion gotta tell my business to yall" i said sucking my teeth

"whatever" i said leaving getting in my car

i knocked on her door and she opened it sucking her teeth

"hey i ain't do nothing" i said putting my hands up in defense

" i know but im busy preparing the food for lissa auntie baby shower" she said walking into her kitchen as i followed

"aint no way you still going to that"

"if you think ima let lissa stop my bag your crazy" she said

"nah you got a point" i said "what even happened tho"

she sucked her teeth "why right now tho" she questioned

"cuz you didnt text me back since last week and i didnt like that i wanna know if you ok" i said slowly blinking

"just talk" i said rolling my eyes

she sighed seasoning the chicken

"aii you know how jalissa is, she always got sum slick to say but i don't know i always let it slide cuz i told myself not to tolerate it but it was that text with her cousin mentioning my mom that just was like yea thats it for her so i clocked her even though i wish i didnt, it just happened" she said not making eye contact

"yea nah let somebody talk about my grandmother im going in for the kill so yea i see what you mean. they could only push you to a certain point till you wild out" i said shrugging

"that's exactly what i said and it hurt most cuz i told her stuff that i didn't think she would ever use against me like really. on top of that i trusted ha like wassup" she said getting mad again

"not gon lie glad you did that, she was getting on my nerves" i said getting up going by her "you ok tho" i asked and she hummed in response

i still stood by her and she looked up at me holding eye contact for a min before putting the chicken in the fridge to marinate

"can i sleep on your couch tho" i said

"you couldve done that at ya cousins house" she said smiling
