After my detention, Neville, Ginny, Luna and I joined Dumbledore's Army in the Room of Requirements. I explained to them what happened with Voldemort and his group of Death Eaters.
"...And then, he threatened to kill my Uncle. He believes his death would persuade me to join him", I said.
"Why does he want you to join him?" Cho asked.
I opened my mouth to speak, but I closed it again. I can't tell everyone that I'm a werewolf. There were so many reasons as to why I couldn't tell them.
"I-I wish I could tell you all, but I...I can't. I can't tell you for so many reasons", I said.
"Well, then, how do we know we can trust you?" Seamus asked.
"You can trust me because I want the same thing you all want. To stop Voldemort. He is hurting people and he is killing people. He is evil", I said.
"Are you evil? Have you killed someone", Zacharias Smith asked.
"No, I'm not evil".
"You didn't answer the second question. So, you've killed someone?"
"That's enough, Zacharias", Ginny snapped.
"No! How can trust her? She hasn't been honest with us", Zacharias said.
"Have you killed someone?" Cho asked.
"It was an accident! I didn't mean for it to happen!" I blurted.
Suddenly, everyone bombarded questions at me. Luna grabbed my hand and Ginny puts a hand on my shoulder.
"Everyone, stop!" Neville shouted. Everyone went silent. Neville looked at me, giving me permission to speak.
"I don't want to tell you the truth because I know that if I tell you, you will all be afraid of me. I'm different and dangerous. That's why Voldemort wants me to join him. He wants me to help him kill people, but I refuse. When I was 7, I was responsible for my sister's death. I hated myself and my mother abandoned me. I cried for weeks and I tried to avoid making friends, but some people didn't give up on me".
The room was silent. I looked at Neville. "I'm going to uh...I think I need some air", I said.
I walked towards the back of the room and found a tunnel. I don't know where it's going to take me too, but I wanted to get away for moment so I went down the tunnel.
Dumbledore's Army probably hated me now.
I walked through the tunnel, but I stopped to sit down. I figured that as long as the group doesn't see me, I don't have to go any further.
I sat in the tunnels for what felt like an hour. I got up and walked back towards the Room of Requirements with a nervous feeling.
When I got back, I saw everyone practicing spells with partners. No one noticed I returned so that's good.
Neville approached me. "How are you feeling?" He asked.
"I'm still feeling like everyone hates me", I said.
"No one hates you. They're just surprised. Cho, Seamus, Pavarti and Eleanor have figured out what you are, but they've promised not to tell anyone", Neville said.
But I still wasn't sure if I could trust Cho.
Ginny and Luna walked towards us. "We need to let them know that they don't scare you. I told Sirius about what happened with Voldemort. Now, I know of a way we can help Harry", Ginny said.
"How? No one knows where he is", I said.
"Hear me out. On the day of Bill's and Fleur's wedding, I overheard Scrimgeour mention the sword of Gryffindor. Dumbledore gifted it to Harry, but Scrimgeour said it went missing", Ginny explained.
"It's not missing. It's in Snape's office", I said.
"That does make our plan a lot easier", Luna said.
"Plan?" I asked.
"We're going to steal it from Snape's office", Neville said.
--
We finished our meeting with Dumbledore's Army. I changed my outfit before I met with Ginny, Neville and Luna next to Snape's office.
"I had Peeves distract Snape", Ginny said.
"Great. Luna and I locked the Caros in Herbology", Neville said.
"And I know the password",
"Let's hurry up before Snape gets back", Neville said.
I walked towards the door. "Rain Cloudy Lake", I said. The door opened. The four of us walked up the stairs. As we went up, I thought there was something off about that password.
Usually, the password to this office is something wizard related. I found it strange that Snape, a Death Eater would use a normal password.
The thought went away when we reached the door to Snape's office. I opened the door a few inches to look inside. No one was inside. I pushed the door open wider.
I saw the sword on one of the shelves, in a case. I don't think any of us could reach it.
I pulled out my wand. "Wingardium Leviosa", I said. The case flew off the shelf.
"What do you think you're doing?"
I lost my concentration. The case fell down, but Neville and Luna caught it. I turned around, but I didn't see anyone.
I looked at one of the portraits on the wall. It was a portrait of my great, great grandfather, Phineas Nigellus Black.
"You're not supposed to be in here", he said.
"Then, if anyone asks, you never saw us. This would be a lot easier if you didn't interrupt us", I said.
"Stealing from a Headmaster, I see".
"If you don't shut up, we're throwing your portrait out the window", I said. My ancestor shuts up immediately.
I looked at my friends. I opened the case. Luna pointed her wand at the glass. The 4 of us took a step back.
"Bombarda", Luna said.
The glass exploded. I grabbed the sword. Neville held onto the handle with me.
The 4 of us walked down the stairs, carrying the sword. The door opened. We were in for it now.
"What do we have here?" Snape asked, staring at us with loathing. "The 4 of you will receive detention tonight. You will go to the Forbidden Forest with Hagrid".
