3rd POV

As the siblings continued their catching up a certain white haired girl along with her teacher were watching them, cautiously, through the crack in the door, for different reasons, obviously.

"Mou, he better not do anything to Mei-senpai"

"Can we trust him?"

"Will you two stop spying on them?!" Yelled out an angry Teri, though she was and still is sceptical about Shoki, she firmly believes that he would not harm his sister.

As they finished their talk the siblings joined the others in the kitchen getting curious looks from the others, as if they expected something.

"Alright, I should get back to making something for lunch" said Mei, choosing to finish what she started before Shoki arrived.

"So" Shoki finally spoke out, garnering the attention of everyone else "Where am I gonna be staying?"

"*Sigh* I'll show you to your room, follow me." Said Himeko as she left the kitchen and shown him to what he presumed was the guests room.

As the two went down the hallway Shoki got a look around, he saw the nameplates on the rooms and the pictures in the hall... His sister, her friends, Himeko, Theresa. As they halted before the final room, at the end of the hall, Himeko took out the key and opened the door. Inside was a simple room, the guests room, he guessed, either that or for another potential teammate. The room was, again, simple. Plain walls, a plain bed, a desk, a wardrobe and spare chair in the corner next to the door. He simply walked in and plopped down onto the bed, closing his eyes for but a moment before getting up and looking at his guide.

"Before you leave, I'd like to personally thank you for... Everything, really. For as long as I remained in captivity all I could think about was, how her life is. She used to rely on me, a lot. Seeing how quickly I was dragged away I could never get rid of the feeling of... I don't know how to describe it in all honesty. I was afraid how she was, how she would be, how dad would be, I was afraid could she maybe, forget? And I can say that." He paused and smiled at her gently "I am truly grateful for you and the others taking care of her, as such I would like to offer my services to any of you who would need them in return for what you did for my sister."

Himeko pondered his words for a bit, on one hand, she didn't trust him, she just met him and she didn't even want to get started on the fact that he was a Herrscher, on the other hand, at least from Mei's stories, he was already someone who was willing to set the world ablaze because his little sister was cold. As such she came to a conclusion.

"Alright, I'll hold you to it. Oh, and lunch will be soon so please just get yourself sorted before that."

"Will do!" He smiled as she left the room, laying back down he stared up at the ceiling before turning to the window, his reflection looking back at him.

"Welcome to your new life Shoki, welcome to your new life..."

Well that's a wrap. My apologies, again, for taking so long, this was supposed to come out a bit earlier but well writers block hit hard with this chapter seeing as it's something most would have just done in the 3 sentences of the next chapter and then gone on with the more exciting stuff, but alas you are stuck with me and I like my character building, also COVID is a bitch, just wanted to put that out, literally entire side of my mom's family has it as well as the two of us, dad's fine though, don't know how, I mean we just spent 10 hours together in a car but sure. Anyways school is starting again and so is my torture, but I will still write for you beautiful people. And lastly for the stuff I found while on the internet.
