Claudia Barbosa was a writer...well actually she wasn't but she will be. She had a dream of her being a big writer like those ones who you hear their name and automatically know of their work. But the thing was she was a woman, she could get no where in the world for not being a man. Which was insane because she could do the same thing men can do. If not more.

She did not take interest to marry at the moment, she was too indulge on her writing. She wanted to travel the world and explore different places to get inspiration for a new writing piece. It's where she felt at peace and she was not going to give the up for tight corsets and men who have their dicks flaunted out.

Claudia indeed had a big negative opinion on the marital market and the ways of London's society she still kept up her reputation for the sake of her family and the Bridgerton's whom she loved dearly. Yes, she cared a lot about becoming a writer and traveling but the Bridgerton family is like her own family and she would hate for their reputation to be thrown down in the gutter for opinions and false dreams.

Anthony and Claudia were the eldest in their families but they were different. The Barbosa name doesn't go to Claudia after the death of her father, but rather her younger brother-Bruno who is close in age with Colin and Daphne. Whilst, the Bridgerton name went to Anthony when he was the sly age of eighteen. Although, the Barbosa name does not go to Claudia she is still the eldest and takes the responsibility of the household, she cared for her younger siblings as if they were her own and she will not give that up for false dreams.
