"Hey! Hey!" Street called as he grabbed Katie's hand. with his free arm he grabbed her waist to avoid her falling forward.
The young lady had lost her balance once the elevator doors began to close.
"I dont..." she began to say. Her eyes slowly closing, as her jaw dropped
"Katie, you ok?" he asked concerned
What came out of her mouth was inconsistent speech in a whisper. Street figured the woman was intoxicated. It would be irresponsible of him to just leave her and continue on to his floor. So, he grabbed her tight by the waist and walked her to her room. She was dragging both feet, but at least she moved. Slowly but steady they made their way down the hallway, as Street tried to remember which was her room.
"709? 710?" he asked her
Her head was hanging from her shoulders, but Street heard her mumble something like nine, so he assumed Room 709. He grabbed her handbag and immediately found the key.
"Ok, ok...I got you" he said trying to be comforting.
The lady was out of it, as she hold on to his shoulders with one arm while the other lingered in the air loosely. He turned her body to the side as he made his way into the room. The door closed behind him, while she went forward to his face aiming at his lips for a soft kiss.
"Dad, Sammy ate all of my gummies!" Matthew complained
"He wasn't gonna eat them, dad!" he heard Sammy in the back. The two brothers began bickering, going back and forth.
"Hey! Hey!" Deacon called, as he stopped mid sentence on the police report. He needed to calm both of his boys. "Sammy, c'mon! There's a reason why I got both of you a bag!"
Bickering began again, as Deacon shook his head and allowed them to solve it themselves.
"Matthew, relax! We buy another tomorrow in the store. Chillax!" Rubio's voice was heard
"Fine, but little rascal here is not eating any!" Matthew snapped, annoyed.
"You're the rascal!"
"Beaver! Get out! I'm gonna talk with dad!" Matthew complained angrily
"He's my dad too!" the boy snapped
"Call him later! What is it with you? Copying everything I do. Go away!" he complained as Rubio giggled in the background
"Dad!" Sammy called as Deacon took a deep breath
"Mat, be nice to your brother!"
"He's so annoying, dad!" Matthew responded, followed the by the sound of a door slam.
"I hope you two are not spending this weekend fighting so much, Mat! C'mon, you're the older one. You have to have patience with Sammy. We talked about this." Deacon said as he finished the paperwork
"We talked about him not annoying me and that's not working! At all! He better stay with Spencer and Jonah. They squeak louder than the Chipmunks!" he complained
"Be nice!" Deacon repeated annoyed
"Anyway, I got news dad."
"Oh, yeah?"
"Yeah. Connor's taking us to the water park on Tuesday, to a skate park on Wednesday and we're going hiking with Henry's dad to Death Peak on Thursday. Then on Friday, Henry said some guys from his school are planning a Fortnite and COD tournament with prizes. So, Henry convinced his mom to let him stay with Parker, and Calvin's gonna try to convince Uncle Hondo to crash with him for this week. The little kids can't go hiking or participate in the tournament, so it's gonna be awesome!"
