Prologue

  " Doc?" Tumingin ako sa pintuan ng may marinig akong tinig mula sa labas

" Yes?" Sagot ko, binalik ko agad ang tingin ko sa mga documents ng pumasok ito, it was a nurse

" Pinapatawag po kayo ni Doc. Saldez sa office niya po" sabi ng nurse, I didn't glance at her as I was bussy scanning through the paper, with my handwritten notes

" Tell her, I'll be down in a minute" I said, she said yes and left. After reading the document, I left my office and went to Doc. Saldez's office. I entered the elevator, nakasabay ko ang mga nurses at doctors na bussy sa kanya kanyang gawain. Everyday at the hospital is a bussy day, besides this is the Riviera Hospital

I arrived at her office and knocked, she said come in and I entered

" Oh it's just you" she said and laughed when she saw me

" Who are you expecting ba?" I asked her, she stood up to get bottled water from her mini ref as I sat on the left chair infront of her table, this chair is for consultation, and every office has this

" Wala naman, akala ko kase bibisitahin ako ng magaling kong asawa" she said and even rolled her eyes, bumalik siya sa inuupuan niya pagkatapos uminom ng tubig

" You had a fight?" Tanong ko, she shook her head as she chuckled

" Sort of, ang hirap kase mag-asawa, lalo na pag may misunderstanding, and as a woman, expected na hindi tayo natatalo sa argument and that's true sa amin ni Dave, but he left early kanina with our child, and he hasn't still contacted me since morning. Kaya I was worried" she ranted, I was just listening to her without interrupting her talks, it's for the best to let out the anger or maybe the rage inside her

" That's why... You called me here?" I asked her, she smiled and held my hands, Doc. Saldez was my college friend, back in our University, and fortunately we're still friends, she's a little older than me though

" I just need a listener and adviser, Aya" she said as she smiled, I chuckled and shook my head

" What do you need right now? The listener or the adviser?" I asked, she puckered her lips, probably thinking, ganyan siya lagi pag nag-iisip

" You already listened to me so, let's have the adviser" she stated, I leaned on the chair, ready to give her my advice

" You should lower down your pride doc, kawawa si Engineer, every argument that you'll have, umaalis siya para kumalma, and after calming down, he'll fix it naman. Why won't you call him first, just this time so he'll feel more relax. He loved you Doc, and as a married couple, you should fix it hand and hand without one of you leaving. I'm not advising you as a Psychologist but as a friend Zena, you should fix it as soon as possible baka maipit pa si Gio diyan" I said, she looked guilty as I was observing her moves

" Ikaw ang nanguna no?" I asked her, she smiled awkwardly and that means yes

" It was just about the damn, vacation. He wants to have a vacation, para saming tatlo, but I said I was bussy he persuade me more and then I was stress that time din, kaya I raised my voice at him, and he walked out and I followed, nagging him about the unfinished chores sa bahay then, nagalit siya, good thing Gio was asleep that time kaya hindi niya narinig and so on." She explained, she looked frustrated and pissed, but at the same time, apologetic

" The more I started to realize, the more apologetic I become" she said and sighed

" You have to call-"

" Doc?" I was about to tell her to call her husband when a nurse knocked on the door

" Later nalang, Aya ah, sorry sa abala" she said
