next morning
it was around 9:00 and i had just woken up tom was still sleeping so i gently kissed his cheek and got up and got changed we were going out with maverick, goose charlie, and carole at 12 so we have a little while before we have to leave

after like 10 minutes tom had woken up
he came behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist and put his head on my shoulder
"hey how'd you sleep" i said turning around putting my arms around his neck
"good but it would've been better if i had woken up to you beside me" he said starting to smile
i smiled at him
i gave him a quick kiss before saying
"you need to get ready we're leaving soon"
he let out a groan
"oh i know your life is so hard"
"it is hard" he said (that's what she said nah i'm just playing)

we had arrived at the kansas city barbecue (i looked it up)
"please be nice, they invited you for a reason" i said
"fine i'll try" he said
"thank you" i said kissing him before grabbing his hand and pulling him
i saw them sitting at a table gooses son bradley was there
"heyyyy" i said walking up to them i hugged carole me and her have been friends since before her a goose got married but basically all our lives
"hey cutie" i said to bradley who was sitting on top of the piano with his dad
i went to go sit down next to charlie and motioned for tom to come sit next to me he sat down and i put my head on his shoulder
"when did you two get together" carole asked
"like 3 days ago" i said
goose started singing great balls of fire
"yOu ShAkE My NeRvEs AnD yOu RaTtLe My BrAiN tHiNkInG aBoUt YoUr LoVe DrIvEs A mAn InSaNe, YoU bReAk My WiLl Oh WhAt A tHrIlL, goodness gracious great balls of fire"goose and bradley sang together it was really cute
"maverick, would you go fetch him?" carole said elbowing his side
"doesn't he ever embarrass you?" i said
"goose? hell no well there was the time-" he got cut off
"admirals daughter" carole said
we laughed
"what?" he said
"he told me all about the time you went ballistic with penny benjamin" carole said laughing
"did he? well that's great" he said
"he tells me about all of them, maverick, how my little angel, goose, goes home early for church, and you always go home with the hot women" she said
"alright thank you carole, i'm gonna go embarrass myself with goose for a while" he said getting up
"i'm gonna get some drinks" ice said before getting up
i nodded
maverick went over to goose and then started singing
"you shake my nerves and you rattle my brain thinking bout your love drives a man insane, you broke my will oh what a thrill goodness gracious great balls of fire" they sang
"oh my god remind me never to go out with them ever again" i said laughing
carole started talking
"i would love to be able to warn you off about maverick, but i just love him to death" she said to charlie
"you know i've known pete for a lot of years now, and i'm telling you one things for certain, both of you, there are hearts breaking wide open all over the world tonight" she said
"why?" me and charlie both asked
"because unless y'all are fools those boys are off the market they are 100% prime time in love with y'all"carole finished
me and charlie were both smiling and iceman came back and sat down beside me
"hey goose you big stud!" carole yelled out
"that's me, honey" goose replied
"take me to bed or loose me forever" carole said
"show me the way home honey" they are such a cute couple
carole got up so did charlie and me i pulled tom over to the piano and we all started singing
tom put his arm over me
"you shake my nerves and you rattle my brain" we all sang
me and toms faces close to each other
"thinkin about your love drives a man insane you broke my will oh what a thrill goodness gracious great balls of fire" we all finished

me and tom were driving back to my house
"you were real quiet today what's up" i said to him
"nothing, just didn't have anything to say" he said paying attention to the road
"i'm not buying that because you're usually going after maverick but i won't bother you" i said singing along to the song that was playing
soon we arrived back at my place
and got ready for bed cause it was 9:00
