When we got to her room she looked very scared and worried
"What's wrong dear" I asked concerned
"Uhm nothing... Stefano can I ask you a question"
"Sure"
"Ok before I came you were the favorite right since you are the youngest"
"Yes... Why are you asking" I asked confused
"I'm scared to talk to the rest of the family but can you please ask them if I can be part of the mafia"
"Why do you want to be part it's very dangerous for kids like you"
"Kid you are just two years older than me" Ashley said annoyed
"Ok ok you are not a kid but still why do you want to join"
"I w-want to learn how to protect myself"
"But we have so many guards to do that" I said trying to change her mind
"But there were no guards to protect my when that lunatic attempted to kidnap me" Ashley said
This girl wasn't giving up so easily
"You're right about that, I will ask dad if you can join maybe you can be a female assassin but don't you want to have a normal teenage girl life"
"I want to but my safety comes first"Ashley said
"I'll ask dad but I doubt he'll say yes"I told her
"Ok let's watch a movie in the meantime" She said joyfully

"Guys come down for lunch" Dad shouted
I looked at Ashley and I saw her flinch I feel so bad for Ashley she has been through a lot
My family knew it would have been a bad decision to tell her this why we didn't only if that stupid Vladimir kept his mouth shut
Ashley Pov
When we got downstairs I couldn't help but to feel scared I looked at everyone faces they all looked at me with pity
As I was walking to the dining area I saw mom and I wanted to give hug her but I stopped remembering this family is in a mafia
"Ashley why don't you sit"Xavier said
I was about to sit when Xander said something
"Listen up you attention whore you know we are in a mafia so deal with it,Why must you come hear to cause drama"Xander said
"XANDER WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT TO YOUR OWN SISTER,NOW APOLOGIZE"Dad yelled
"Nothing is wrong with me dad I know she is my sister but I do not like her and it not be force I do"Xander replied
Dad to Xander and slapped him across the face
"I hope you are happy now bitch" Xander said holding his cheek
I couldn't take it anymore I ran to my room, getting there I locked the door
I sat on the floor rested my head on my bed and I cried
What did I do to Xander that he hates me so much,I know it not by force for him to like me but what he said was... I don't even know how to explain it
To be honest I just want to disappear my like at the orphanage wasn't good I thought coming here and staying with my real family my life will be better but it just made it worse
I wish Aubrey was here with me I wonder how her like is with dad friend
Wait if that dad friend it means there are involved in a Mafia,well I hope she doesn't have a brother like Xander my life here is not perfect but I hope hers is
Sigh
As I was looking at the wall I heard two clicks and the door opened I didn't even bother to check who it was
"Sweetie are you alright" I recognized the voice immediately I knew it was mom
"What do you think mom" I said trying my best not be rude
"Look I understand you no one deserves this especially you"Mom said
"Why doesn't Xander like me what did I ever do to him" I asked facing her
"Ashley he likes you it just that when you where taking away he was very broken and if he came close and you where taking again he wouldn't know how to handle it"
It all made sense now I thought he didn't like me because of something else but this changes everything
"Why us it only him that is acting like that how come the others act nicely" I said
Mom didn't say say anything she just stayed quiet
"Mom if you are so worried about me I can learn how to defend myself in fact I can be a female assassin helping you guys on missions"
"What are you saying we would never want to put you in danger we have more than enough people working for us and we have many guards to protect you"
"Mom did you hear about what happened today you so called guards did nothing to protect me it was dad and the boys and if they where now around I wouldn't be here right now"
"Fine Ashley I'm going to talk your dad but don't you want be a normal teenager"
"That the same thing Stefano told me I can't be a normal teenager if my life is in danger"
"You have a point dear, remember don't let Xander words get to you he doesn't mean it" Mom said as she kissed my forehead and left the room
Deep sigh
