An illusion of happily ever after
Of days filled with love and laughter
It's just not the true reality
In this sort of normality
You read too many books when you were young
That promised a love that was never undone
But that is fantasy, that isn't real
All the romance you wanted to feel
Will become obliterated by everyday life
Mundane is the norm, riddled with strife
Little sprinkles of smiles, then a whole lot of tears
A few joyful memories, then a lot of grey years
So, I guess, hold onto those little peeks of light
Because love isn't easy... love is a fight.
