(Y/N) POV

an alarm blares. you groan, slamming against your bedside table till it stops. you open your eyes and see that you accidentally destroyed it

(Y/N): fucking hell

you yawn and stretch your arms, sitting up in bed. you get up, but instantly retreat back into your bed once your feet touch the floor

(Y/N): who the hell thought it was a good idea to have all these floors be made out of metal!? god damn. I... need to get some carpets in here

eventually you build up the courage to get out of bed. heading to your closet you grab out a black shirt, black pants, black socks and black boots. heading to the bathroom you have your morning shower, get your clothes on, brush your teeth, brush your hair, tie it up, normal stuff. you walk out of the bathroom and look towards an old UNSC Human-Covenant War propaganda poster. on said poster was Fiend-205, the savior of Humanity, reloading an Assault Rifle. it was something about "the Covenant may be winning, but they haven't won yet" or something, you don't know, the writing parts were ripped off ages ago. the only reason you had it was because it had Fiend on it. you idolized the guy, a celebrity crush, if you will. your father had served with him during the Human-Covenant war, and told stories about his prowess. needless to say, you were a fan. after ogling the poster some more you leave your quarters and head to the mess hall. after getting some breakfast you sit down and begin to enjoy. after disposing of the rubbish, you get called on your handheld comm. you pick up

(Y/N): yah?

Palmer: (L/N), Commander Palmer, armor up and head to the hanger asap. Laskey's orders

(Y/N): yes ma'am

you hang up and head back to your room. after taking off your clothes and replacing them with your black undersuit, you head to the armory and put on your Mark V [B] armor. you had yet to upgrade to Gen 2, but you were pushing off on that. your current armor worked just fine. you then move to the Hanger, and see Commander Sarah Palmer waiting

Palmer: took your time

(Y/N): well my room is on the other side of the ship, Commander. can't expect me to just teleport here instantly

Palmer: well you're here now. that's all I care about

(Y/N): why did you call me down here?

Palmer: an Imperial Senator who's been in cahoots with us for awhile has been found out, requested an evac. I'm sending you and another Spartan to bring her here

(Y/N): ok so who's going with me? don't tell me it's DeMarco I cannot be in the same room with him

Palmer: and why's that?

(Y/N): he keeps hitting on me. he knows he doesn't have a shot but he does it anyway. I feel like its just to piss me off

Palmer: well don't worry, its not DeMarco. its not even a Spartan IV

(Y/N): well then who is it? Jun? Evelyn?

you then see a Pelican arrive in the hanger

Palmer: no. but he is a legend. the best the UNSC has to offer

you glance at Palmer, then back to the Pelican, which had landed already. the hatch opens, and out walks a Spartan-II. clad in Black, Red and Purple armor, visor as gold as the alloy. in his hands, a BR85. you froze. it was him. you were being partnered up, with him. the legendary Spartan, veteran of both the Human-Covenant war and the Clone Wars. of all the people, you never expected to be partnered up with him

Palmer: Lieutenant (L/N), meet Fiend-205
