Summary/background info: y/n met the gaang at  a village in the earth kingdom. After months of traveling with them, she ended up catching feelings for Sokka. However, she did have one secret that she just couldn't bear to keep from him anymore...

Warnings: mentions of blood, wanting to throw up.not until the very last part though, and very brief. 

(As someone with hematophobia, I wasn't too triggered by this but I know it's different for everyone so I'm adding a warning now, and right before.)

It was a wonderful day, in the small Earth Kingdom village the Gaang had settled in, with people in all sorts of greens and browns bustling around the market place. Small crowds formed around each stand, selling and buying assortments of fruits and clothing items.

The 3 kids did stuck out quite a bit, the blue's of Katara and Sokka's clothing, as well as the bright yellows and oranges of Aang's clashing against the rest of the crowd.

"Ooh over there!! They've got fancy bags-"

"Sokka, do we even have the money for that-"

Ignoring the protest of his younger sister, Sokka sets off in the direction of a stand set up in front of a little tea shop. "Aaand, he's gone." Katara sighs, before her and Aang followed the energetic teen.

"Atleast wait for us!!"

"Then hurry up!!"

2nd person POV

You stood behind the small wooden stand of yours, fiddling with the straps of a random bag placed on the table. The green overhang made just enough shade for the heat of the day to miss you, much to your liking.

"Then hurry up!!"

The loud shout caught your attention, head lifting up to see 3 kids running your way, though they weren't from the Earth Kingdom.

'Bingo...'

You put on your best smile, doing your best to mask the mischievous glint in your eye. "Woah, this one's really cool..." the taller boy mumbles in awe, the girl next to him rolling her eyes.

"Ya like it?"

Only then do they notice your presence, the taller one's eyes widening as he suddenly straightens his posture. "Uh-" he clears his throat. "I mean, sure Y'know...it's ok." He sounds almost embarrassed, only amusing you further. "Well, if you really want it than it is on sale..."

That was all he needed to hear, quickly pulling out a couple of coins from his pocket and carelessly tossing them to you. You laugh. "I'll take that as a yes then."

He doesn't respond, instead grabbing the leather bag off the table and throwing it around his shoulder in delight.

"Sorry about him, he gets excited." The girl says, shoving in front of him and smiling at you. "Oh no, I don't mind." You say with a chuckle. "I'm y/n, nice to meet you."

Katara kindly accepts the hand you held out to her, introducing not only herself but the two other boys as well.

"Oh, you're the avatar, right?" You ask, once it was Aang's turn. He smiles, the corners of his mouth just about reaching his ears. "Yep, can ya tell?"

"Eh, the arrow kinda gives it away.." you joke, causing him to laugh aswell. "Fair enough, how long have you been working here?"

The random question surprises you, but you quickly reply. "Not long, I just moved here a week or two ago, so..."
