the escape

me and the missing kids woke up early to make sure everything was set up correctly

once we made sure everything was right, we waited for the grabber to give us breakfast
or the unseasoned eggs and flat soda

'a dead person could cook better than that'

an hour or so later he opened the door
"here's your food eat up"
he places it down

'one plate for seven kids really?'

he walked out and slowly shut the door
giving me enough time to put the bobby pin in
i let the others eat even though I was hungry as hell

after they ate we were like sitting ducks waiting for him to leave
it was so boring

i couldn't imagine being here for months or more like some of the others
with nothing to do.

they were all talking amongst themselves as i sat on robins bed
he sat next to me and tapped my shoulder

"are you okay?"
he asked with sympathy
i nodded my head

"just a little nervous ya know"
i smiled at him

"I'm pretty sure we all are especially Billy and Griffin"
he pointed at them
Billy looked like he was about to cry
Griffin looked stressed

just seeing them like that made me so upset
they didn't deserve to feel like that

Robin put his hand on my thigh
"everything will be okay"
he reassures me

i nod and lay my head on his shoulder

after a little while of just sitting there
Bruce points at the window

"look he is leaving let's go"
we all turned to look
sure enough he was leaving in his van

we all stood up getting ready i walked to the door
i felt someone grab my wrist
it was Robin

"please be careful i don't want anything happening to you"
he stepped closer to me
i smile and grab his face
i pull him towards me and kiss his lips

i pull away and smile at him
"i will don't worry about me"

he let go of my wrist and walked to Finney
i opened the door taking the bobby pin and locked it behind me

i made my way up the stairs and opened the door to the house

i walked out closing it behind me leaving no trace of me
i walked to the closet grabbed the bat closing the door to hide

a few minutes later i heard the front door open
I heard two voices

"i will allow you to stay Max but don't go in the basement i work there"
my dad tells my uncle

"okay"
Max replies
"I'll be back in five minutes gotta go to the hardware store"
Max just hums
i hear the front door open and close and the van engine start

i hear max walking around and then him gasp
i hear his footsteps approach closer to me and the basement door open

'fuck. please don't Max'
i heard him go down stairs and him talking to the kids as the front door opens

i hear the grabbers loud steps like anger fumes put with every step closer to the basement

'no no no no not max please'
i hear him slowly walk down i swing the door open and carefully follow him

i hear a crunch and liquid splatter
i look in horror as the grabber puts an axe in Max's head

my eyes start to prickle with tears
i wipe them away and begin walking closer careful of where i stepped

"look what you guys made me do"
he sighs sadly

"we didn't do this"
Finney speaks up

"you know normally i would have only one boy and use a knife but you six are very special"
he speaks in a way that makes me sick to my stomach

"where's y/n"
i use that as my que
i raise the bat very high and hit him with all my strength

"right here dumbass"
he collapses to the floor and slowly begins to stand up we all run and jump over the carpet

he walks straight into the hole and falls
we all hear a sickening crunch
he screams out in pain

he begins to reach for Finney but Finney smacks the shit out of him with the phone

the grabber grabs his face in pain as Vance takes the phone he smirks

he smacks him so hard i thought it would knock him out but it didn't
all of a sudden the grabber gets a hold of Billy

"BILLY"
I scream and grab his hand trying to pry him out of his grip
the others begin to help me

Finney rips the grabbers mask off causing him to let go of Billy
as i grab him and pull him behind all of us

Robin grabs the phone and gives him a good smack

i take the phone from him
"you're a lying dick face i hope you rot in hell bitch"
i spat at him as i struck his uncovered face
Finney grabs the phone and wraps it around his neck

he pulls back as we all watch in satisfaction as the grabbers neck snaps

the snap echoed thru the basement the noise bouncing back and forth on the walls
we all cheer and embrace each other

we all begin walking towards the stairs
i was behind all of them I come to a stop Infront of Max's lifeless body

tears start to stream down my cheeks
i feel someone wrap their arms around me and hug me
i immediately notice that it's robin

"it's okay come on"
he pulls away and grabs my hand as we walk up the stairs together
we walk out the door and the police and news broadcaster is here

we are put in an ambulance truck with blankets draped on my shoulders
Gwen runs and hugs Finn
they both walk over to us
she rush's towards me and hugs me

"I'm so glad you guys are okay"
she tells me, Finn and Robin
we all smile at her

her and Finn sit next to me and Robin
the police began calling everyones parents
they walk to me

"is there anyone we can call for you"
they ask me
i shake my head no
Max and my dad were all I had left

"looks like you have to go into foster care you may have to move"

i looked down upset i don't wanna leave my friends

Robin speaks up
"I'm sure my ma wouldn't mind you staying with us"
i looked up at him

"really!?"
he nods his head
i thank him and hug him as the officers walk off

we all sat peacefully waiting for everyone's parents...
