I sat at my desk tapping my pencil as I stared at the problems in front of me.
I just didn't get them.
The words looked like scribbles and my brain couldn't put them together.
"Y/N its not that difficult."
I rose an eyebrow and looked up at the man.
"Of course its not for you."
I went back to tapping my pencil and staring at the paper.
I knew I wasn't going to figure this out anytime soon. These problems were too advanced for my little brain.
"Al-haitham I can't do this." I whined pushing the paper forward.
He sighed in response and picked it up off the desk.
"Look here." He pointed towards one of the questions.
"This is no different from some of the others you've completed. It just has a few more steps."
I leaned forward and took the paper from his hands.
"Can't we take a break for the day?"
He sighed again.
"We've only been here for 30 minutes."
I pouted in reply and put the paper back down.
"Come on babe just some food?" I asked looking up with puppy eyes.
His face remained stoic and he shook his head.
I could only roll my eyes before looking at the paper.
Fine maybe he was right it was similar to other stuff I had done before but it wasn't at the same time.
I placed the tip of the pencil on the page and attempted the question once more.
Just as last time I only got so far.
"Would you at least help me here?"
"No you've got to try more on your own first."
I huffed in response, "Some tutor you are."
Al-haitham was currently tutoring me in some of the classes at the akademiya. He was also my boyfriend. Unfortunately for me I didn't get it easy as his girlfriend. He was just as tough on me as any of the other students who came to him.
