Hermione's Pov:

Whispers filled the hall as I walked down it. People looked at me with mixes of jealousy and pity. I shriveled at the attention as a girl walked up to me.

"Blink twice if you are under the imperious curse," She said confidently. I made sure not to blink as I ignored her and walked passed her.

"Is she okay?"
"Maybe Malfoy's not so bad?"
"Are you kidding? He probably threatened her!"
"Or used the imperious curse."
"I bet she hates him."
"I bet he's awful."

For some reason, I was angry that they were saying such things, but I quickly shook myself out of it until I heard what the Slytherin boys where saying as I walked past.

"She probably blackmailed him"
"Yeah, or cast a love spell!"
"But dude, she is hot"
"Yeah, she probably flirted with him."
"What mud blood trash"

I froze, and I could feel everyone's eyes on me. Then I feel an arm on my shoulder and the smell of sugarcane and aftershave.

"What did you just say about my girlfriend?" Draco asked in a steely tone that made me shiver. I looked up at him and played the part. I nestled into his chest and buried my face in his clothes. 

"He called me a mudblood babe." I said, putting my doe eyed look on. I bit my lip pretending to be distressed, as I was a second ago. But not anymore for some reason.

Draco slowly met all of the boys eyes and snorted.

"They're lowly third years babe, from awful families. Pay no mind." He said sweetly to me, and then glanced at them coldly. "But if any of you say anything about my girlfriend again you'll wish you where never born. Is that clear?"

Dead silence was in the hall as everyone watched this.

"I said IS THAT CLEAR?!" He bellowed. The boys quickly nodded and he glared at them once more. "Good. Lets go babe." He said, and we walked off.

I have never seen anybody look so attractive.
