Moss had always been a daydreamer. Always having their head up in the clouds. They never felt quite comfortable in the reality they lived in. Always wishing to be the ruler of a flower kingdom, or a barista who falls for one of their regulars, or just to have a perfect reality where everything is okay.
Nobody could bring their head back down from the clouds. Moss's mom would always get annoyed at the disassociating. Always saying they needed to focus on reality. To pay attention to the real world. It would make Moss want to leave reality even more.
It was an escape. An escape from all the stress, noise, and mostly the anxiety-inducing people. They spaced out often, when they were a kid it was normal and occasional but, as they grew up people started judging them for it more. So they stopped listening to others' opinions on the matter.
Head in the clouds, Moss continued with this way of life.
