Abandonment is much worse than elimination.
Episode 2

Team 47 is formed. 8 in total.
Episode 6

Chainsaw leaves Team 47 and makes his own team, Team Bracket. 7 left.
Basketball and Slipper join Team Bracket too. 5 left.
Episode 8
-------
Team Bracket wins and chooses Team 47 to be up for elimination.
Episode 9
-------
Treasure Chest cheats his elimination so he wouldn't let the team lose again. Malachite gets eliminated instead. 4 left.
Episode 12
-------
Team Bracket eliminates Bubble Wrap. 3 left.
Team Bracket convince Ukulele to join them afterwards. 2 left.
Journal is all Treasure Chest has left.
But where is Journal? He's gone. 1 left?
Treasure Chest wanted to save his team, but he failed.
It doesn't help that Team Bracket didn't eliminate him so they could do something worse than elimination.
What could be worse than abandonment and elimination?
