That night you spent the majority of time putting your affairs in order.
You would be gone for who knows how long. Making a mental list of all the people you needed to speak with. The following morning when you walk into Star Labs, your first thought is to look for HR. He isn't around. Not that you're surprised.
After Walker's visit, you could tell he was avoiding you. Barry sends you a sympathetic smile from across the room. Cisco is on the computer running a background on the realm you're about to enter. After you'd provided him with the coordinates, he said he wanted to be prepared for anything. He didn't want to accidentally vibe you into some universal volcano or ocean.
"From what I can tell, the atmosphere there is similar to earth's so you shouldn't have any physiological issues."
That's a relief.
"Also I think that you should pack a-"
The alarms blare, and in an instant Barry is in his suit. You raise your ring, and your suit draws instantly. Cisco braces for any kind of attack. None of you predict the swarm of red energy that washes over the entire room. Both you and Cisco have been knocked right off your feet, and Barry appears to be trapped behind a barrier.
He runs, but it offers no resistance. You grunt, picking yourself off the floor and moving to Cisco to see if he's okay. He stands with you, holding his shoulder. You search left and right but you can't see the attacker. You do hear footsteps coming from the hallway.
"(Y/N)!!"
It's HR.
"Don't come in here!!" You warn. He ignores, and right as he makes it to the entrance, someone lands in the middle. The face that is looking back at you brings alarm and shock. There's a twisted smile on the individual's face. The suit they wear is an exact replica of your own, except this one is a chilling red. HR is now frozen in his spot.
"(Y/N)..."
He's looking at the woman in surprise. He has a right to be. She's wearing your face. She turns to him, and that deviant look changes.
"STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!"
Your body just reacts, and you materialize a fist, knocking into her body with force. She slams into the opposite wall harshly, and her body rolls. She's unconscious. Barry's barrier falls, and the second you're clear you run right into HR's arms. He hugs you, relief washing over the both of you.
"You're safe." You whisper, holding on tight. For a moment you weren't sure he would be.
"I'm okay, are you okay?" He pulls back to look at you, and you nod.
"I'm okay." He smiles.
Barry moves cautiously to the female that's unconscious.
From his expression you know he's not sure what to do.
