"How'd it go with your boyfriend?" Chris asked cheekily when Nick got back in the minivan.

"Shut up, he's not my boyfriend."

"You made me pull into the parking lot to see if it was him, then you spent like 30 minutes in the car with him." Matt spoke up, taking Chris' side.

"We were just talking!"

"For 30 minutes?" Chris rolled his eyes, not believing anything his brother was saying. "Even I know you're full of shit."

"You guys are acting like you totally weren't watching us the whole time. You rolled the goddamn window down the other day to listen to my phone call with him."

"Because you don't tell us anything about him, Nick! We don't even know what he looks like." Chris defended, turning back around in his seat.

Nick didn't say anything, instead opening up Instagram and going to Cass' profile. She had to have at least one picture with him. Sure enough, there were a few pictures of the two of them. He clicked on the first one he saw, before handing the phone up to his brothers.

"Here."

His brothers remained silent as they looked at the picture, then began scrolling through the account looking for more pictures of the boy. Nick wasn't surprised when Chris suddenly pulled the phone out of the middle of the car so that he could look closer, but he was immediately suspicious when he turned around with a triumphant smile a moment later.

"What did you do?" He reached for the phone, snatching it out of his brothers hand. He stared down at the screen, which was now Sidney's profile, and instead of a follow button, there was a grey 'requested' button. "Chris, what the fuck?"

"Why didn't you follow him already?" Chris seemed to have no remorse, still smiling smugly in the front seat.

"It never came up. And besides, I didn't want to look like I was stalking him." Nick's was in his hands, rubbing his eyes. It definitely wasn't a huge deal, but he couldn't help but wonder if the sudden follow request right after their talk would throw Sidney off.

"It's fine, man. He probably won't care."

Not surprisingly, Chris could not make it through the whole video without mentioning Sidney. Nick sighed every time, knowing that was another thing that he was going to have to cut out when he was editing later on. The conversation on the drive back was mostly about the video, which Nick had little to no complaints about. He'd been grilled enough over the past few days so the break was much appreciated.

He'd yet to have his follow request accepted or declined, which only made him check his phone more. It wasn't that he hadn't wanted to follow Sidney sooner, or even that he couldn't find his Instagram. It was just the idea of coming off too pushy, or the fear that he was reading into something that wasn't there. And even though Sidney had confirmed to him that he wasn't, he couldn't help but worry that he was more invested than the other boy.

"Nick? You okay? You've hardly said anything since we ended the video." Chris turned around in his seat to face his brother, drawing Nick's attention away from the window that he had been staring out of and back to the front of the car where Chris and Matt sat.

"Oh yeah. I'm just tired, and thinking." Nick fought the urge to grab his phone out of his lap and reload Sidney's Instagram profile again. He knew that Sidney had definitely gone home and went to sleep, but he that didn't stop him from hoping that he could finally stop worrying about it.

Chris didn't say anything in return, yawning himself and turning back around in his seat to continue whatever conversation he was having with Matt. Nick felt himself reach for his phone again, but he caught himself before he could open up the Instagram app, and instead willed himself to open some random game that he had downloaded from an ad months ago. It was something to keep his mind occupied for the rest of their short drive home at least.

He barely comprehended when Matt pulled into their driveway and he made his way inside, his eyes grown so tired over the course of the night that all he could think to do was go to sleep. It wasn't normal for him to be this tired right now, he usually found himself in one of his brothers rooms, or them in his, talking for at least another hour after they got home from filming. However, lately he's been finding himself falling asleep earlier, a trend that he can only assume started because of Sidney and his inability to stay up past 1 a.m. most nights.

He barely even remembered to plug in his phone before he turned over in bed and closed his eyes to finally get some sleep.
